Has anyone heard of Asahel Nettleton? A Brethern friend of mine recently loaned me a copy of a biography on this man who is credited with being the main instrument of the second great American revival in the early part of the 1800's. The period is called the Second Great Awakening. It's excellent material. The book is called 'God sent Revival' first edition in 1977. The author is JF Thornbury. I've been comparing Nettleton's methods with other great reformers for OT times to today. He was one of the great men of God.
