Bentley Church & Reimche Reunion - 08/18/00 08:10 AM

The Bentley church is host to the Reimche 2000 Family Reunion from Aug. 18-20. The Philip Reimche family came to Canada just before the 1st world war. Many in the Reimche family at one time lived in the Bentley area.

About 90 are expected to attend, starting with a Vespers service on Friday night. Former Alberta Conference Ministerial Director, Elder Al Reimche, will be the Sabbath morning speaker.

Afternoon activities are to include visiting Reimche historical sites around Bentley. The weekend will end Sunday evening with a Banquet at the CUC cafeteria.

Philip Reimche children expected to attend are: Albert Reimche, Elder Harold Reimche, Oscar Reimche, Herb Reimche, Claire Ritchey and Martha Toews.

John Blake, Pastor of the Bentley church, is Coordinator for the Reunion, and he is married to Alberta, daughter of Albert Reimche, who used to attend the Bentley church as a little girl.

We rejoice to see how God has led in the Reimche family, with so many as members and workers in the SDA church today!

How did the reunion go?

I assume it was a grand success.
