Mass killings and Psychiatric Drugs

Mass killings and Psychiatric Drugs - 09/25/13 02:50 AM

Like nearly all other mass shooters, ex-Navy shooter Aaron Alexis was also being treated with psychiatric drugs

by Mike Adams, the Health Ranger, NaturalNews Editor

(NaturalNews) We weren't planning to cover this story until the Associated Press confirmed that Aaron Alexis, the shooter believed responsible for the recent mass shooting at the Navy yard, "had been treated since August by the Veterans Administration for his mental problems."

This is proof that Aaron Alexis was on psychiatric drugs, because that's the only treatment currently being offered by the Veterans Administration for mental problems. Alexis' family members also confirmed to the press that he was being "treated" for his mental health problems. Across the medical industry, "treatment" is the code word for psychiatric drugging.

Nearly every shooter has a history of psychiatric drug use

As Natural News readers well know, the vast majority of mass shooters in U.S. history have all been on mind-altering psychiatric drugs. Those prescription medications create feelings of detachment in people, making them feel like they "playing out a video game" rather than acting out in the real world.

See a list of some of the other shootings where the perpetrators were taking psychiatric drugs in this Natural News article.

Not coincidentally, Aaron Alexis was also "obsessed with violent video games," reports The Telegraph. Violent video games allow potential shooters to "rehearse" their first-person murderous rampage actions, reinforcing the actions in their brain neurology. It makes the act of killing seem normal, if not habitual.

This combination is repeated over and over again in violent mass killings: psychiatric drugs + video games = mass death.

Press once again lies about the AR-15

Of course, a mass shooting also needs to have a firearm present, but even facts surrounding those claims are now proven to be widely and inaccurately reported by the mainstream media -- an institution which has now utterly abandoned the concept of fact checking in its rush to get the story out. Not only has the media had to retract its initial claim of the identity of the shooter, it also turns out that there was no AR-15 used in the shooting at all.

"Federal law enforcement sources told CNN Tuesday that authorities have recovered three weapons from the scene of the mass shooting, including one -- a shotgun -- that investigators believe Alexis brought in to the compound," reports CNN. "The other two weapons, which sources say were handguns, may have been taken from guards at the Navy complex. The sources, who have detailed knowledge of the investigation, cautioned that initial information that an AR-15 was used in the shootings may have been incorrect. It is believed that Alexis had rented an AR-15, but returned it before Monday morning's shootings."

Regardless of the shooter's weapon of choice, it also turns out that once again he chose a "gun-free zone" to carry out his crime, knowing full well that no ordinary citizens would be able to return fire, giving him plenty of time to carry out his mad killing plan.

This is another characteristic of recent mass shootings: they have all taken place in gun-free zones. Such zones are obviously the preferred targets of mass killers who seek to minimize their own risk of being taken out by return fire.

Finally, it is worth noting that the SWAT team which eventually shot and killed Aaron Alexis most likely did so with an AR-15 rifle, proving that AR-15s are extremely useful in protecting the public when deployed in the hands of someone who has the best interests of the public in mind. The actual rifle model used to kill Alexis has not yet been released, so it could have been something else, but there is no question that SWAT team members were well armed with AR-15-style tactical rifles and that such rifles in the hands of those men unquestionably served a positive role of protecting the public.

You can't trust the media to tell you the real story
The bottom line in all this is that when it comes to shooters, psychiatric drugs and firearms, you simply can't trust the mainstream media to tell you the real story. They will often report half-truths or even just invent bizarre new "facts" they want you to believe, but they have no real investment in the idea of getting to the actual story of what happened and bringing that story to the public.

The media is mostly just using this shooting as another way to sell more advertising while pushing a particular political agenda that utterly ignores the far more dangerous chemical holocaust taking place in our nation due to the widespread deployment of psychiatric drugs.

In fact, I am the author of the widely-shared article from 2012 entitled, Gun control? We need medication control!

And I stand by that argument today. A firearm in the hands of a competent, ethical person who protects innocent bystanders is a blessing. But a mind-altering medication in the hands of a violent video game addict with extreme anger issues is a catastrophe waiting to happen.

Suzanne, Note: I don't agree with everything in this article about fire arms.

Every mass shooting over last 20 years has one thing in common... and it's not guns

by Mike Adams, the Health Ranger, NaturalNews Editor

(NaturalNews) The following is a republishing of an important article written by Dan Roberts from AmmoLand.com. It reveals the real truth about mass shootings that bureaucrats and lawmakers are choosing to sweep under the rug: psychiatric drugs. If you want to know the real reason why mass shootings are taking place, this is the "inconvenient truth" the media won't cover.

As part of a collective grassroots effort to defend the Bill of Rights against usurpers and tyrants, Natural News is republishing this article without asking for permission first. When it comes to fighting tyrants and defending liberty, the unstated agreement across the entire liberty-loving grassroots community is, "Use our articles; help spread the word!" Every article I write here on Natural News, for example, may be reprinted with credit and a link back to the original source article on NaturalNews.com.

Here's the full article by Dan Roberts:

(Ammoland.com) Nearly every mass shooting incident in the last twenty years, and multiple other instances of suicide and isolated shootings all share one thing in common, and its not the weapons used.

The overwhelming evidence points to the signal largest common factor in all of these incidents is the fact that all of the perpetrators were either actively taking powerful psychotropic drugs or had been at some point in the immediate past before they committed their crimes.

Multiple credible scientific studies going back more then a decade, as well as internal documents from certain pharmaceutical companies that suppressed the information show that SSRI drugs ( Selective Serotonin Re-Uptake Inhibitors ) have well known, but unreported side effects, including but not limited to suicide and other violent behavior. One need only Google relevant key words or phrases to see for themselves. www.ssristories.com is one popular site that has documented over 4500 " Mainstream Media " reported cases from around the World of aberrant or violent behavior by those taking these powerful drugs.

The following list of mass shooting perpetrators and the drugs they were taking or had been taking shortly before their horrific actions was compiled and published to Facebook by John Noveske, founder and owner of Noveske Rifleworks just days before he was mysteriously killed in a single car accident. Is there a link between Noveske's death and his "outting" of information numerous disparate parties would prefer to suppress, for a variety of reasons?

I leave that to the individual readers to decide. But there is most certainly a documented history of people who "knew too much" or were considered a "threat" dying under extraordinarily suspicious circumstances.

From Katherine Smith, a Tennessee DMV worker who was somehow involved with several 9/11 hijackers obtaining Tennessee Drivers Licenses, and was later found burned to death in her car, to Pulitzer Prize winning journalist Gary Webb, who exposed a CIA Operation in the 80's that resulted in the flooding of LA Streets with crack cocaine and was later found dead from two gunshot wounds to the head, but was officially ruled as a "suicide", to Frank Olson, a senior research micro biologist who was working on the CIA's mind control research program MKULTRA.

After Olson expressed his desire to leave the program, he was with a CIA agent in a New York hotel room, and is alleged to have committed "suicide" by throwing himself off the tenth floor balcony. In 1994, Olson's sons were successful in their efforts to have their fathers body exhumed and re examined in a second autopsy by James Starrs, Professor of Law and Forensic science at the National Law Center at George Washington University. Starr's team concluded that the blunt force trauma to the head and injury to the chest had not occurred during the fall but most likely in the room before the fall. The evidence was called "rankly and starkly suggestive of homicide." Based on his findings, in 1996 the Manhattan District Attorney opened a homicide investigation into Olson's death, but was unable to find enough evidence to bring charges.

As I said, I leave it to the individual readers to make up their own minds if Noveske suffered a similar fate. On to the list of mass shooters and the stark link to psychotropic drugs.

• Eric Harris age 17 (first on Zoloft then Luvox) and Dylan Klebold aged 18 (Columbine school shooting in Littleton, Colorado), killed 12 students and 1 teacher, and wounded 23 others, before killing themselves. Klebold's medical records have never been made available to the public.

• Neal Furrow (Prozac) in LA Jewish school shooting reported to have been court-ordered to be on Prozac along with several other medications.

• Kevin Rider, age 14, was withdrawing from Prozac when he died from a gunshot wound to his head. Initially it was ruled a suicide, but two years later, the investigation into his death was opened as a possible homicide. The prime suspect, also age 14, had been taking Zoloft and other SSRI antidepressants.

• Alex Kim, age 13, hung himself shortly after his Lexapro prescription had been doubled.

• Diane Routhier was prescribed Welbutrin for gallstone problems. Six days later, after suffering many adverse effects of the drug, she shot herself.

• Gareth Christian, Vancouver, age 18, was on Paxil when he committed suicide in 2002, (Gareth's father could not accept his son's death and killed himself.)

• Julie Woodward, age 17, was on Zoloft when she hung herself in her family's detached garage.

• Woody __, age 37, committed suicide while in his 5th week of taking Zoloft. Shortly before his death his physician suggested doubling the dose of the drug. He had seen his physician only for insomnia. He had never been depressed, nor did he have any history of any mental illness symptoms.

• A boy from Houston, age 10, shot and killed his father after his Prozac dosage was increased.

• Hammad Memon, age 15, shot and killed a fellow middle school student. He had been diagnosed with ADHD and depression and was taking Zoloft and "other drugs for the conditions."

• Matti Saari, a 22-year-old culinary student, shot and killed 9 students and a teacher, and wounded another student, before killing himself. Saari was taking an SSRI and a benzodiazapine.

• Steven Kazmierczak, age 27, shot and killed five people and wounded 21 others before killing himself in a Northern Illinois University auditorium. According to his girlfriend, he had recently been taking Prozac, Xanax and Ambien. Toxicology results showed that he still had trace amounts of Xanax in his system.

• Finnish gunman Pekka-Eric Auvinen, age 18, had been taking antidepressants before he killed eight people and wounded a dozen more at Jokela High School – then he committed suicide.

• Asa Coon from Cleveland, age 14, shot and wounded four before taking his own life. Court records show Coon was on Trazodone.

• Jon Romano, age 16, on medication for depression, fired a shotgun at a teacher in his New York high school.

Missing from list... 3 of 4 known to have taken these same meds....

• What drugs was James Eagan Holmes on, age 24..... killed 12 people and injuring 59 others in Aurora Colorado?

• What drugs was Jacob Tyler Roberts on, age 22, killed 2 injured 1, Clackamas Or?

• What drugs was Adam Peter Lanza on, age 20, Killed 26 and wounded 2 in Newtown Ct?

Those focusing on further firearms bans or magazine restrictions are clearly focusing on the wrong issue and asking the wrong questions, either as a deliberate attempt to hide these links, or out of complete and utter ignorance.

Don't let them! Force our elected "representatives" and the media to cast a harsh spotlight on this issue. Don't stop hounding them until they do.

Why does the gun lobby sell their soul for loads of cash? Is their collective conscience so seared that they can look at you with a brass face and deflect attention away from their passing of fire arms under the table to the next generation because it is their livelihood? It is the NRA that has put violence into the mass media, then they wash their hands saying, "We do no wrong!"

Hypocrites! WOE to those who perpetuate their rotten filth!

Fort Hood Shooter On Ambien, Antidepressants and a 'Cocktail' of Mind-altering Meds

by J. D. Heyes

(NaturalNews) Earlier Natural News reported that the Army specialist who shot and killed three and wounded more than a dozen people at Fort Hood April 2 before taking his own life was taking the powerful delirium drug Ambien.

That was certainly true enough, as we documented, but later reports indicated that the shooter, Spc. Ivan Lopez, was actually on several mind- and mood-altering medications.

As reported by Britain's Telegraph:

A U.S. soldier who shot dead three comrades and wounded 16 others before killing himself was on a cocktail of prescription drugs and had managed to smuggle a semi-automatic handgun on to one of America's largest military bases.

Did no one see warning signs - that is, the SSRI drug?

At the time of the shooting, Lopez was in the process of being examined for post-traumatic stress disorder, though he had only been deployed to Iraq for four months and had not seen any combat or been involved in any combat actions, according to Pentagon officials and general-staff officers familiar with his case.

Still, despite his non-combat experience, his claims of injury most likely were a call for help that dangerous mind-altering medications ultimately only exacerbated - though just last month Lopez had been cleared by mental health personnel at Fort Hood following examinations with the finding that he was no threat to himself or to others.

A reporter from Infowars.com asked specifically about the names and types of drugs Lopez had been prescribed. The Army's reponse, given by Lt. Gen. Mark A. Milley: "He was on medications, that's correct."

"The obvious link between psychiatric drugs and violent outbursts is a common theme that crops up in almost every mass shooting incident, yet the media is routinely loathe to make the connection," Infowars.com reported.

Earlier, The Associated Press reported:

The gunman, who served in Iraq for four months in 2011, had sought help for depression, anxiety and other problems. Before the attack, Lopez had been undergoing an assessment to determine whether he had post-traumatic stress disorder....

The married suspect had arrived at Fort Hood in February from another base in Texas. He was taking medication, and there were reports that he had complained after returning from Iraq about suffering a traumatic brain injury....

Is this to be the military's answer to its rising incidents of psychological problems in uniform - medication? Because if so, someone needs to throw a red flag - the Defense Department's got a suicide problem, and throwing more medication at the problem is liable to make it worse.

According to National Journal and other reports, 22 veterans a day, on average, are committing suicide; since the beginning of the year, more than 2,000 have done so, based on Veterans Administration figures.

It's gotten out of hand

Quite clearly, the military is facing what advocates call a "suicide epidemic." As reported by NJ:

To help address the growing problem, Democratic Sen. John Walsh of Montana introduced legislation last week that includes provisions to force the Pentagon to reexamine troops who were discharged for PTSD-related behaviors - which can include nightmares, flashbacks, changes in personality, sleeping disorders, and suicidal thoughts.

The bill also expands veterans' eligibility to enroll in VA health care from five to 15 years after leaving the military. The current system doesn't take into account the fact that some veterans have a delayed reaction to trauma after they leave the service, according to veterans' advocates.

But will that be enough? The military already has a number of suicide awareness and prevention programs. What is not addressed in any of them is the military's penchant for putting its mentally disturbed members on SSRI-type medications that can push them over the edge.

What is also unclear is the numbers of veterans who have killed themselves this year were placed on one or more of these mood-altering drugs. Nobody seems ready, willing or able to find those statistics.

Guns are like TV, the internet and food. They can serve a useful purpose or they can be abused.

In addition to mood altering drugs I can guarantee that in the majority of cases of mass murder that violent entertainment, pornography and broken homes were also factors. But like with mood altering drugs the media will not stress the obvious connection because most of the public is in denial and does not want to hear it. But in mercy the Lord will leave no stone unturned to get our attention.

Re: Mass killings and Psychiatric Drugs - 04/05/14 05:20 PM

Entertainment is a huge contribution to violence.

The twisted logic of people today says;

"watching two hours of violence on the screen has no affect on the mind, yet a 30 second commercial can be worth millions of dollars because it will cause people to run out and buy the item!

"playing a virtual reality violent game on one's electronic device has no affect on the mind, yet short "how to" programs are very popular tools to teach people how to do a vast variety of things.

Where is the logic in any of that?

How can a society say they don't want violence when entertainment is being fed to the population on a daily bases that graphically and with detail teaches violence?

It's down right scary how much programing for violence is being absorbed by the younger generations -- coupled with drug use and an amoral society, we are headed for the "great time of trouble such as never was".

Just like the Bible and God. As used in the past for be-headings, burning, torturing, and death, they will be used in the future. So combine practiced violence, a conditioned mind, mind altering drugs, mind altering food, an attitude of entitlement, an attitude of God is going to get them or others anyway, and what do you get: Chaos not yet fully realized.

Elliot Rodger, Like Nearly All Young Killers, Was Taking Psychiatric Drugs (Xanax)

by Mike Adams, the Health Ranger, NaturalNews Editor

(NaturalNews) Like nearly all mass murderers and psycho killers, Elliot Rodger is now confirmed to have been taking massive doses of psychiatric drugs. Law enforcement authorities have now confirmed Elliot Rodger, the "sorority girl" killer of Isla Vista, California, was taking massive doses of Xanax, a psychiatric drug belonging to a class of chemicals called benzodiazepines.

"Elliot had been taking Xanax for awhile, according to his parents ... there were fears he might have been addicted to it, or taking more than was prescribed," a law enforcement source told RadarOnline (1), which first broke the story.

"The Xanax had been prescribed to Elliot by a family doctor," the story continues.

A second story on RadarOnline (2) explores, "disturbing details about the community college student's dependence on Xanax."

That story goes on to report:

Based on interviews with Elliot's parents, Peter and Li Chen, the Santa Barbara Sheriff's Department "is being told that he was likely addicted to Xanax ... Peter and Li have been doing basic research on addiction to Xanax, and based on what they have read, they believe the tranquilizer made him more withdrawn, lonely, isolated, and anxious," a source told Radar. "It's their understanding that when Xanax is taken in large amounts, or more than the prescribed dosage, these are some of the side effects."

Time after time, mass murderers are found to have been taking psychiatric drugs

Elliot Rodger now joins a long and ever-expanding list of other killers who were either taking psychiatric drugs or withdrawing from them at the time they committed mass murder.

While the mainstream media predictably blames guns for all mass shootings, it rarely looks at the chemical drugging of the person who pulled the trigger on those guns. After all, guns don't operate by themselves. They require a person to make a decision to commit murder.

In case after case, mass murderers on psychotropic drugs describe themselves as feeling withdrawn, isolated, distant and almost living out a "video game" that isn't real. This is what psychiatric drugs to do you: they make you feel detached from reality.

Here's just some of the true history of psychiatric drugs and mass murder:

* Eric Harris age 17 (first on Zoloft then Luvox) and Dylan Klebold aged 18 (Columbine school shooting in Littleton, Colorado), killed 12 students and 1 teacher, and wounded 23 others, before killing themselves. Klebold's medical records have never been made available to the public.

* Jeff Weise, age 16, had been prescribed 60 mg/day of Prozac (three times the average starting dose for adults!) when he shot his grandfather, his grandfather's girlfriend and many fellow students at Red Lake, Minnesota. He then shot himself. 10 dead, 12 wounded.

* Cory Baadsgaard, age 16, Wahluke (Washington state) High School, was on Paxil (which caused him to have hallucinations) when he took a rifle to his high school and held 23 classmates hostage. He has no memory of the event.

* Chris Fetters, age 13, killed his favorite aunt while taking Prozac.

* Christopher Pittman, age 12, murdered both his grandparents while taking Zoloft.

* Mathew Miller, age 13, hung himself in his bedroom closet after taking Zoloft for 6 days.

* Kip Kinkel, age 15, (on Prozac and Ritalin) shot his parents while they slept then went to school and opened fire killing 2 classmates and injuring 22 shortly after beginning Prozac treatment.

* Luke Woodham, age 16 (Prozac) killed his mother and then killed two students, wounding six others.

* A boy in Pocatello, ID (Zoloft) in 1998 had a Zoloft-induced seizure that caused an armed stand off at his school.

* Michael Carneal (Ritalin), age 14, opened fire on students at a high school prayer meeting in West Paducah, Kentucky. Three teenagers were killed, five others were wounded..

* A young man in Huntsville, Alabama (Ritalin) went psychotic chopping up his parents with an ax and also killing one sibling and almost murdering another.

* Andrew Golden, age 11, (Ritalin) and Mitchell Johnson, aged 14, (Ritalin) shot 15 people, killing four students, one teacher, and wounding 10 others.

* TJ Solomon, age 15, (Ritalin) high school student in Conyers, Georgia opened fire on and wounded six of his class mates.

* Rod Mathews, age 14, (Ritalin) beat a classmate to death with a bat.

* James Wilson, age 19, (various psychiatric drugs) from Breenwood, South Carolina, took a .22 caliber revolver into an elementary school killing two young girls, and wounding seven other children and two teachers.

* Elizabeth Bush, age 13, (Paxil) was responsible for a school shooting in Pennsylvania

* Jason Hoffman (Effexor and Celexa) – school shooting in El Cajon, California

* Jarred Viktor, age 15, (Paxil), after five days on Paxil he stabbed his grandmother 61 times.

* Chris Shanahan, age 15 (Paxil) in Rigby, ID who out of the blue killed a woman.

* Jeff Franklin (Prozac and Ritalin), Huntsville, AL, killed his parents as they came home from work using a sledge hammer, hatchet, butcher knife and mechanic's file, then attacked his younger brothers and sister.

* Neal Furrow (Prozac) in LA Jewish school shooting reported to have been court-ordered to be on Prozac along with several other medications.

* Kevin Rider, age 14, was withdrawing from Prozac when he died from a gunshot wound to his head. Initially it was ruled a suicide, but two years later, the investigation into his death was opened as a possible homicide. The prime suspect, also age 14, had been taking Zoloft and other SSRI antidepressants.

* Alex Kim, age 13, hung himself shortly after his Lexapro prescription had been doubled.

* Diane Routhier was prescribed Welbutrin for gallstone problems. Six days later, after suffering many adverse effects of the drug, she shot herself.

* Billy Willkomm, an accomplished wrestler and a University of Florida student, was prescribed Prozac at the age of 17. His family found him dead of suicide – hanging from a tall ladder at the family's Gulf Shore Boulevard home in July 2002.

* Kara Jaye Anne Fuller-Otter, age 12, was on Paxil when she hung herself from a hook in her closet. Kara's parents said ".... the damn doctor wouldn't take her off it and I asked him to when we went in on the second visit. I told him I thought she was having some sort of reaction to Paxil...")

* Gareth Christian, Vancouver, age 18, was on Paxil when he committed suicide in 2002, (Gareth's father could not accept his son's death and killed himself.)

* Julie Woodward, age 17, was on Zoloft when she hung herself in her family's detached garage.

* Matthew Miller was 13 when he saw a psychiatrist because he was having difficulty at school. The psychiatrist gave him samples of Zoloft. Seven days later his mother found him dead, hanging by a belt from a laundry hook in his closet.

* Kurt Danysh, age 18, and on Prozac, killed his father with a shotgun. He is now behind prison bars, and writes letters, trying to warn the world that SSRI drugs can kill.

* Woody, age 37, committed suicide while in his 5th week of taking Zoloft. Shortly before his death his physician suggested doubling the dose of the drug. He had seen his physician only for insomnia. He had never been depressed, nor did he have any history of any mental illness symptoms.

* A boy from Houston, age 10, shot and killed his father after his Prozac dosage was increased.

* Hammad Memon, age 15, shot and killed a fellow middle school student. He had been diagnosed with ADHD and depression and was taking Zoloft and "other drugs for the conditions."

* Matti Saari, a 22-year-old culinary student, shot and killed 9 students and a teacher, and wounded another student, before killing himself. Saari was taking an SSRI and a benzodiazapine.

* Steven Kazmierczak, age 27, shot and killed five people and wounded 21 others before killing himself in a Northern Illinois University auditorium. According to his girlfriend, he had recently been taking Prozac, Xanax and Ambien. Toxicology results showed that he still had trace amounts of Xanax in his system.

* Finnish gunman Pekka-Eric Auvinen, age 18, had been taking antidepressants before he killed eight people and wounded a dozen more at Jokela High School – then he committed suicide.

* Asa Coon from Cleveland, age 14, shot and wounded four before taking his own life. Court records show Coon was on Trazodone.

* Jon Romano, age 16, on medication for depression, fired a shotgun at a teacher in his New York high school.

Missing from list... 3 of 4 known to have taken these same meds....

* What drugs was Jared Lee Loughner on, age 21... killed 6 people and injuring 14 others in Tuscon, Az?

* What drugs was James Eagan Holmes on, age 24... killed 12 people and injuring 59 others in Aurora Colorado?

* What drugs was Jacob Tyler Roberts on, age 22, killed 2 injured 1, Clackamas Or?

* What drugs was Adam Peter Lanza on, age 20, Killed 26 and wounded 2 in Newtown Ct?

Add the latest killings to this list.

Quote:
Doug Durham, Haskell's public defender, said his client had been in and out of hospitals in Utah and California with a history of mental illness and that he was not taking prescribed medication at the time of the killings.

Quote:
Haskell's public defender says he is a troubled individual who was off his medication.

"The focus of my defense with Mr. Haskell is his mental condition. Our laws say a person suffering from mental illness is not criminally responsible," said his attorney Doug Durham.

He says Haskell is being treated with a cocktail of medications in jail. Durham also says he's consulting with mental health experts on how to proceed with the case.

It seems he may have been in the withdrawal period of the drugs.

I fear the pharmaceutical companies are complicit in these murders.

Blessings,

Psychiatric medications found in home of Germanwings pilot Andreas Lubitz, who underwent 18 months of psychiatric 'treatment'

by Mike Adams, the Health Ranger, NaturalNews Editor

(NaturalNews) Just as Natural News publicly predicted in a widely-circulated article entitled Germanwings jetliner catastrophe: The first antidepressant drug-induced mass murder of the skies?, psychiatric drugs have now been located and identified by law enforcement authorities searching the home of the murder-suicide co-pilot.

As the Straits Times now reports:

Investigators made the discovery in a search of the home of Andreas Lubitz in the western city of Duesseldorf and seized a number "of medicines for the treatment of psychological illness", Welt am Sonntag weekly said.

"The 27-year-old has been treated by several neurologists and psychiatrists," it quoted an unidentified high-ranking investigator as saying, in excerpts released ahead of Sunday's edition...

The same story goes on to report:

On Friday they said searches of his homes netted "medical documents that suggest an existing illness and appropriate medical treatment"...

In today's global system of pharma-dominated health care, so-called "appropriate medical treatments" for depression consist almost entirely of mind-altering medications which have been repeatedly linked to mass school shootings.

"The police found antidepressants during a search of his apartment here on Thursday," reports The New York Times, further confirming that the SSRI drug link to Lubitz.

A Reuters story also explains, "German newspaper Welt am Sonntag quoted a senior investigator as saying the 27-year-old "was treated by several neurologists and psychiatrists", adding that a number of medications had been found in his Duesseldorf apartment."

18 months of psychiatric "treatment" on medications, but still allowed to fly

According to the Daily Mail, Lubitz "...reportedly received a year and half of psychiatric treatment and was at one point recommended to be examined by a doctor before flying."

As I noted in a previous Natural News article, SSRI drugs are considered so dangerous by the FAA that U.S. pilots are not allowed to fly commercial or private airplanes if they are currently taking antidepressant medications. (The FAA knows SSRI drugs can make pilots suicidal.)

It now appears Andreas Lubitz was attempting to hide his psychiatric treatment and medications from authorities, and he may have stopped taking SSRI drugs in order to pass a urine test or blood test.

"[T]he other possible explanations for Lubitz's actions are that he may have stopped taking his medication so it would not be detected in any medical tests..." reports the Daily Mail. Other behavior demonstrates by Lubitz is also consistent with this idea, such as his tearing up of doctors' notes to avoid submitting them to his employer.

"Regularly collected a prescription from the pharmacy"

Also from the Daily Mail:

He reportedly received a year and half of psychiatric treatment and was at one point recommended to be examined by a doctor before flying. But, incredibly, he passed his psychological assessments and was later considered fit to fly.

German police are now investigating whether Lubitz had stopped taking any medication he was on and have questioned chemists at the Apotheke am Breidenplatz close to Lubitz's Dusseldorf flat.

Lubitz regularly collected a prescription from the pharmacy, MailOnline understands. A chemist at the Apotheke confirmed she had spoken to the police but declined to offer any details.

As with all such stories, there will be enormous pressure exerted on the mainstream media by the pharmaceutical industry to downplay any link between SSRI drugs and this mass murder tragedy. But given the repeated pattern of mass murder carried out by people who are either currently taking SSRI drugs or have recently quit taking them, we must ask the obvious question: Can psychiatric meds transform a normal person into a mass murderer?

Until society honestly asks this question, many more people might unnecessarily die from acts of violence which are induced by psychiatric medications.

The perfect Germanwings cover story: Every time psych meds cause mass murder and suicide, the media blames the victim

by Ethan A. Huff, staff writer

(NaturalNews) All manner of speculation is surfacing about the character of Germanwings co-pilot Andreas Lubitz, the man who the media says intentionally crashed a commercial airliner into the French Alps, killing himself and 149 others. But amidst all this chatter about whether or not Lubitz was a homosexual or whether he suffered from depression and other mental health problems is a serious lack of focus on the pharmaceutical drugs that this disturbed young man was admittedly taking prior to the incident.

Reuters has taken to directly blaming Lubitz for the horrific crash, citing the testimony of a flight attendant who reportedly had a relationship with Lubitz back in 2014. Her accounts of Lubitz's thoughts and behaviors reveal some serious problems with the way the man viewed the world, including his supposed desire to achieve something by which "everyone will know my name," to quote the words of the anonymous flight attendant.

The International Business Times has chosen to focus more on Lubitz's alleged homosexual tendencies, claiming that he "trawled gay [censored] websites and sites relating to suicide" just prior to the crash. Lubitz's supposed private obsession with various "sexual perversions," say some media sources, may have driven him into a state of lunacy where he, apparently tormented by his secret desires, had sought out a way to cause mass harm and death.

"He [Lubitz] did this for a reason which we don't know why," claims Brice Robin, a prosecutor in the case. "But we can only [deduce] that he destroyed this plane."

Psychotropic drugs can cause permanent brain damage leading to homicide, suicide

All of these accusations concerning Lubitz may be true, or they all may be false -- we'll never really know, because Lubitz is now dead. But the fact that Lubitz had, in fact, been treated by at least four different psychiatrists in the months leading up to the crash, and a "small mountain" of antidepressant drugs were reportedly found at his apartment, the true culprit in all this just might be pharmaceuticals.

It seems as though pharmaceutical drugs always take a back seat in these kinds of stories, as if legal drug use that involves mind-altering psychotropics and antidepressants is somehow a non-issue when it comes to violent or otherwise unusual crimes of this nature. If it can be confirmed that Lubitz definitely crashed the plane on purpose, the drug aspect simply can't be ignored.

As we reported in March, there have been all sorts of shootings and similar violent rampages over the years that were associated with the use of mind-altering medications like selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs). In multiple cases where the culprits didn't die or kill themselves in the end, reports indicate that they didn't even recall pulling the trigger on their classmates or stabbing their grandparents.

The reason for this is that drugs like Prozac, Zoloft and Ritalin directly alter brain chemistry, which can produce varying effects depending on the individual. For some, it might just mellow them out for a little while. For others, it can induce violent outbursts, severe depression, rage and in some cases mass homicides and suicide.

The website SSRIStories.org contains a collection of over 5,000 stories published throughout the media over the years that involve prescription drug-related violent crimes. A quick browse through these reveals a pattern of atypical behaviors, often involving murder and suicide, that were clearly prompted by the use of prescription medications.

Big Pharma Responsible For Another Mass Shooting? SC Church Shooter Took Psych Drugs Before Attack

by J. D. Heyes

(NaturalNews) Mass shootings, sadly, have become a part of the American lexicon, and without question the majority of the American people are not comfortable with this fact. The latest outrage: A young white man who allegedly possessed some racist animosity went into a predominantly black church in Charleston, S.C., and opened fire, telling one victim that blacks "rape our women," "are taking over our country" and "have to go."

Predictably, the mainstream and legacy media are using this tragedy as Exhibit A in their relentless push to paint the United States – whites, primarily – as racist, bigoted and intolerant. Unfortunately, and despite government statistics that actually show that whites are more commonly victims of so-called "hate" crimes – too many of our citizens will buy into the lie once more, making it ever more difficult for blacks and whites to reconcile.

But there is another predictable element to this mass shooting as well, and it is a connection getting far less attention in the press and in the political arena than it should: The alleged S.C. church shooter, Dylann Roof, was taking a dangerous mind-altering drug like virtually every other mass shooter ever since the late 1990s Columbine High School shooters, Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris.

It's not the guns, folks, it's the medications

As CBS News reported:

Since January, Roof has been arrested twice, both at the Columbiana Mall in Columbia, S.C. According to arrest records obtained CBS News investigative producer Laura Strickler, on February 28, Roof went into a Bath and Body Works store wearing all black and asked "out of the ordinary questions," including how many associates were working, when they closed and what time they leave. ...

The officer noted that Roof was becoming increasingly nervous. He searched Roof and found "orange strips" that Roof said were "suboxone," a Schedule 3 narcotic. Roof was arrested and his 2000 Hyundai Elantra was towed.

A user of this drug on the web site MD Junction noted that her husband "became violent, smashing [sic] things and threatening me," after just a few days of coming off Suboxone.

Another poster at MD Junction tells the story of how his personality completely changed as a result of taking Suboxone. The person related how he became "nasty" and "violent" just weeks after beginning the drug, adding that he would "snap" and be mean to people for no reason.

According to The Courier-Journal, Suboxone "is increasingly being abused, sold on the streets and inappropriately prescribed" by doctors. For a number of users, it becomes even more addictive than the drugs it's supposed to help them quit.

As Natural News has noted, in the vast majority of the mass shootings over the past two decades, the perpetrators have been taking some form of mood-altering, mind-altering, psychotropic drug. And yet, the mainstream media and President Obama have, again predictably, blamed the firearm used by these shooters and not the medications.

Obama, in comments following reports of the shooting, also said that the United States was the only advanced society where such shootings occur on a regular basis. The solution, of course, was to ban more guns. But the president said nothing about the link between the violence and the medications.

We deny this link at our own risk

One reason that other advanced societies don't have so many mass killings could be because they don't poison as many of their children with pharmaceutical drugs. According to a 2008 study, U.S. kids are three times more likely than European children to be prescribed psychotropic drugs.

As reported by US News & World Report:

American children are three times more likely to be prescribed psychotropic medications for conditions such as ADHD and bipolar disease than European children are, a new study finds.

Differences in regulatory practices and cultural beliefs about the benefit of medication for emotional and behavioral problems may explain this dramatic difference, the U.S. researchers added.

"There is significantly greater use of atypical antipsychotics and SSRI-type antidepressants for child mental health treatment in U.S. than in Western Europe," said lead researcher Julie Zito, of the pharmaceutical health services research department in the School of Pharmacy at the University of Maryland. "Since most of the use is 'off-label' -- without adequate evidence of benefits and risks, close monitoring should be considered when these medications are used."

The longer we deny, as a society, that these dangerous drugs are having at least some effect on these mass shootings, the more of them will occur.

PsychDrugShooters.com Documents Extensive List Of Mass Murderers On Mind-altering Pharma Drugs

by J. D. Heyes

(NaturalNews) Though Natural News and other alternative media sites have regularly covered the link between mind-and-mood altering psychotropic drug use and mass murders, there is a website that is dedicated to such coverage, documenting in detail each of the many murders over the past several years involving drug-crazed shooters.

The site, PsychDrugShooters.com contains updated information on each drug-induced murderer, including the recent mass shooting at a military recruiting center in Chattanooga, in which four Marines and one Navy sailor were killed.

Under the category of "Islamic extremism," the site notes that Mohammod Abdulazeez, a native of Kuwait, "reportedly suffered from depression since he was a child, first seeing a psychiatrist at the age of 12 or 13, according to family members, who admitted he was medicated 'like many children are.'"

Accurate and well-sourced reporting

The Abdulazeez entry continues:

After graduating college with an engineering degree, Abdulazeez lost his job at a nuclear power plant for failing a drug test. Leading up the shooting, the 24-year-old was taking a range of prescription drugs including sleep aids, painkillers, opioids and muscle relaxers, and sometimes mixing them with alcohol and marijuana. Abdulazeez was killed in a hail of gun fire by police after opening fire at the second military facility.

Each entry is well-sourced, well-documented and accurate.

The site also documents trends, such as the increased prescribing of dangerous psychotropic drugs to military members. Natural News has also documented that trend, noting that psychotropics are regularly tied to military members who commit suicide.

PsychDrugShooters.com also has a category documenting female killers who were hyped up on dangerous mood-altering drugs when they committed their murders, such as the mass murder at a Washington State grocery store by Laura Sorensen, who "thought she was hunting pedophiles when she opened fire in a grocery store in Gig Harbor... on August 11, 2012, wounding two men and killing a third."

The entry, which again is well-sourced, continues:

Sorensen, 20-years-old at the time of the shooting, had a history of mental illness and was diagnosed with schizophrenia as a teen. Sorensen's mother, a mental health therapist, said she struggled to get her daughter treatment as repeated phone calls to mental health crisis lines went unanswered. Sorensen, who was found not guilty by reason of insanity, told detectives she had a mental condition and was on medication.

To find out more about psych drugs, click here to search GoodGopher.com, the world's first search engine to filter out government and corporate disinformation.

Grisly but necessary

And so on. The site further categorizes incidents thusly:

-- Family shootings/murders

-- Military-related violence

-- School shootings

-- Targeted attacks

-- Workplace shootings

While compiling such data might seem grisly to some, the site is actually performing a valuable public service as a one-stop repository of searchable reference material for policymakers legitimately interested in responding to and acting on the connection, rather than politicizing it for personal gain.

Because, as Natural News editor Mike Adams, the Health Ranger, noted in this June report, not all media cover this link. In fact, he says, coverage is particularly slanted:

Interestingly, only conservative media has begun to cover these links between psych drugs and mass killings. The liberal media is largely running interference for Big Pharma, blocking any such stories while desperately attempting to place the blame for all these killings on a physical object -- a gun -- rather than the drug-warped minds of the young men who made the decision to pull the trigger. (Guns don't shoot by themselves. Someone must make the decision to point it and pull the trigger.)

"I believe that an epidemic of drug abuse in this country is helping to fuel the violence. I am not talking about marijuana, cocaine or heroin – I am specifically singling out prescription drug abuse," wrote Dr. Manny Alvarez of Fox News, in this in this recent report.

No doubt, he is correct. And now, PsychDrugShooters.com will track these tragic -- but preventable -- incidents as they occur.

Nevada Assemblywoman demands safety study of Big Pharma's psych drugs after Oregon shooting

by Jennifer Lea Reynolds

(NaturalNews) Well, it's about time.

Less than two weeks after the shooting at Umpqua Community College in Oregon, Nevada Assemblywoman Michele Fiore says studying the safety of Big Pharma's psych drugs is a necessity. Despite deceptive reports in the mainstream media and lying politicians, the Umpqua shooting is actually the first mass school shooting of 2015, based on analysis of data from Everytown for Gun Safety, an anti-Second Amendment group headed by former NYC Nanny Mayor Michael Bloomberg, a billionaire who employs armed bodyguards.(1,2)

"We have to look into what is being prescribed and what is in these meds just like clinical studies," the Republican Assemblywoman said. "Why don't we do studies on the medication all of these shooters were taking and take that medication off the market? Obviously, medications can alter your mind just as alcohol can alter the mind."(1)

It's a statement that is no doubt going to have Big Pharma scrambling, probably even resisting such studies. After all, theirs is a perpetual money-making industry that banks on people's good health becoming worse, only to urge America's youth to pop more pills to get better in contrived PR campaigns on social media, or at least hope that people buy in to that empty promise. There's a drug to address just about every mental and physical condition that is claimed to exist. But it now seems that, along with the likes of dizziness, nausea, cramps and depression, that they "may cause patient to go on a shooting rampage and/or exhibit violent behaviors of massive proportions, especially in public settings" should be added to warning labels.

Need to know more about pharmaceuticals an absolute must if society is to become safer

While that latter statement may sound like sarcasm, it most certainly isn't intended to be that way. The truth remains that every psych drug comes with its share of risks, many of which often go underreported.

For example, recent headlines provided shocking insight on the adolescent antidepressant drug Paxil (chemically known as paroxetine and sold in the United States as Paxil); it was determined that a study published in 2001 which advocated the drug did not actually prove it was safe after all. All of the suicidal behavior that was reported through the years turned out to be tied directly to its adverse effects; reassessment of the original study determined that the original study was filled with flaws, skewed information and purposely omitted details to include overlooking the extent of suicidal tendencies. Yet Paxil was approved and, until recently, widely-embraced as a go-to drug to combat depression.(3)

As previously reported, Oregon shooter taking "five types of pills"

As for the community college shooting in Oregon, Natural News is confident that there's a link between psych drugs and the horrific action taken by the shooter, Chris Harper Mercer, on that awful day. Mike Adams has reported on the psych med–violent behavior link in the past and did so yet again when news of the Oregon shooting developed. Adams noted a Facebook post in which Mercer said he was taking "five types of pills." You can view that post, and read more of what Adams has to say about Big Pharma's role in altering minds and leading to consequent violent actions here. He also points out the possibility that Mercer was vaccine-damaged, noting a New York Times article that discusses how Mercer's mom had difficulties raising Mercer, who "struggled with Asperger's syndrome."(4)

We applaud Assemblywoman Michele Fiore for taking such a stance. The fact that she's publicly conveying the need to address any links between certain pharmaceuticals and horrific behaviors is a necessity in today's increasingly-violent society. Hopefully her urging to delve more into the safety of pharmaceuticals will come to fruition, change Big Pharma's mindset and lead to a safer society where people don't engage in violent behaviors due to mind-altering, so-called "helpful" drugs.
