Death of Leo Schreven on Early Saturday (Sabbath) Morning, December 1, 2012 - 12/06/12 05:33 AM

I read shocking news about the death of Leo Schreven on December 1st.

He was only 51.

The even worse thing about this is that he killed himself.

Let us pray for all those affected by this sad news.

Here is what I understand to be the official statement:
Quote:
"Many have asked about the tragic passing of Leo Schreven. Tamara and Cierra along with the Schreven family are very grateful for the outpouring of concern and support in their time of loss and bereavement. It is not possible for them to respond to each individual message or phone call. The family is intensely grieving the loss of Leo and your prayers for them during this difficult time are most helpful as they navigate so many difficult and new realities.

1. Leo took his own life in the early morning hours of Dec 1. Unknown to most people, for many years Leo suffered from a complex mental health disorder. Every possible effort was made by Tamara, his family and very close friends encouraging him to get help. Even to the very last, the family repeatedly assured him and let him know he was loved and appreciated. This year he spiraled downward and particularly in the past few months, weeks and days, it was increasingly evident he was experiencing serious complications.

2. It is important to know that Leo's family; his parents, his two brothers and his sister are extremely supportive of Tamara. In light of Leo's mental health challenges over the years, Leo's family has supported the decisions that Tamara has had to make in the best interests of herself and Cierra.

3. It is the wish of Tamara and the family that focus be on the dignity of Leo's life by remembering how effective his ministry was in spite of the very personal, private, and real challenges he struggled with.

Additional comments:

Leo Schreven-SUPER ACHIEVER - R.I.P. He spent 70% of his time traveling the world (200+days a year) training ALL POWER to others. You can understand why a divorce was filed for by his wife and pushing 18hr days, answering 200+ emails a day- was his life. WE ALL need to take a note and learn from our dearly departed 51 year old FRIEND. We need balance in all things. Nutrition, Exercise, Water, Hydrotherapy, Education, Air, Light, Temperance, Heaven. We thank you Leo for your training and the lessons we now should receive from your last lesson. I thank you Leo. R.I.P

From Brian McMahon

As Leo's brother in law, who knew him over many years as very few did, I feel I must ask people to please not get into wild speculations about motives, and especially bring the church into this sad ending to Leo's life. The church had nothing to do with what Leo did, nor were any "threats" made against Leo by anyone. The fact is that the church over the years was extremely patient and kind to Leo.
Please accept the official statement placed by the family and posted on the All Power website as factual. Speculation beyond this (such as talk that the IRS was after him) will only do harm and provide more cause for error to circulate. We grieve for his loss but must not make this more than it was. Thank you.

Oh my goodness!

The day God led me to the SDA church Leo Schreven had just had an evangelistic meeting in the town I lived in at the time, Fairbanks AK, and had baptized 55 people that day. In a town of 30,000 that is huge. This was in 1995, the beginning of the post modern era, the end of that model of evangelism.

He was a fast talker, a motivational speaker more than evangelist.

I am very sad to hear of his passing at his own hand.
