King of the Jews

King of the Jews - 07/14/00 03:46 PM

This is a poem that my husband wrote when we were first baptized, almost 4 years ago.

Angie

King of the Jews

Hail, King of the Jews
He heard the people say
Blood running down the innocent face
He came to save us
To save the human race
Now, betrayed
His blood be on us
Jesus betrayed
And on our children
Rejection so deep
My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?
The perfect Man cried
But, three days
He's not forsaken
And an empty tomb stands
To show the perfect, innocent Man lives
And it is us that He saves.

Hello Angie

Thankyou so much for submitting this poem. It is something that we can all count on...Jesus saves.

With all the computer glitches we've had lately, it has not been possible to keep up with all the posts, so I apologize for taking so long to reply.

We need more people to come online and share what Christ means to them; as you did through this poem!
