Judge not....

This is definitely not a "biblical" poem but it does have a point to what it says!

Judge Not . . .

I dreamed death came the other night
And Heaven's gates swung wide
With kindly grace, an angel, ushered me inside.
And there to my astonishment
Stood folks I'd known on earth.
Some I'd judged and labeled,
As unfit, or of little worth -
Indignant words rose to my lips
But never were set free
For on every face showed stunned surprise
No one had expected ME!

Another short favorite:

Horse Sense

A horse can't pull while kicking
This fact I merely mention.
And he can't kick while pulling
which is my chief contention.

Let's imitate the good old horse
and lead a life that's fitting:
Just pull an honest load, and then
there'll be no time for kicking.

Mr. Meant-To has a comrad
And his name is Didn't-Do,
Have you ever chanced to meet them?

These two fellows live together
