We are living in the very last days of human history. The last movements will be rapid ones and time seems to be speeding by on swift wings. Daily we read headlines and stories that are obvious, and sometimes not so obvious, fulfillment of prophecy. When you find an item or report that fulfills prophecy, post it here. If possible, also include the Bible and/or SOP that the story fulfills.

It's an ongoing debate, a battle that rages on. When does an embryo begin to live? When does it become a human?

Today the US president announced that the government has issued guidelines allowing the use of federal funds (read: tax dollars) in stem cell research. The stem cells come from embryos. Government-funded scientists will only be allowed to use embryos that were frozen for in vitro fertilization process. The government won't be doing the research, just supplying funding. There will be no payment to the donors, people who will donate leftover embryos that they are not going to use and would be discarded.

They give some great-sounding reasons why this type of research should be done. Stem cells can be directed to become what ever you want them to be. "Stem cells are early master cells that can develop into many different types of cells." What they want to do is grow new tissue for transplants, and develop treatments for diseases.

My personal thoughts: What have we wrought? In the pursuit to give babies to people who want them but cannot seem to conceive in the normal manner, we have gone where no man in known history has gone before. We are joining sperm and eggs in a laboratory, causing fertilization, and don't stop to think that every fertilized egg is the beginning of a human being. Then you use what you want, throw the rest away. After all, they say, it's not alive. It's not human yet. It's just a clump of cells. But if you want to donate it to science, we'll be glad to take it for our experiments. It's a sick business.

In his sermon on the mount, the Son of God mourns over lost souls. Before His eyes pass the millions of souls yet unborn who would multiply their evil works, reject His pleadings, and rob Him of the glory that He would have received had they allowed Him to impart to them the divine nature. {PH058 3.1}

God sees the unborn, the yet unconceived. How can we say that the embryo of only a few cells is not a living thing? My bible says that God sees it otherwise. Yet another sign that time is almost at an end.

I found these verses using the ones you first poisted, and it seems that we forgot someone when we say that embryos aren't alive, or human.
i.e.:
Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before
thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, [and] I ordained
thee a prophet unto the nations. Jer.1:5

Psa 71:5 For thou [art] my hope, O Lord GOD: [thou art] my trust from my youth.

Psa 71:6 By thee have I been holden up from the womb: thou art he that took me out of my mother's bowels: my praise [shall be] continually of thee.

Psa 22:9 But thou [art] he that took me out of the womb: thou didst make me hope
[when I was] upon my mother's breasts.

Psa 22:10 I was cast upon thee from the womb: thou [art] my God from my mother's
belly.
Isa 46:3 Hearken unto me, O house of Jacob, and all the remnant of the house of Israel,
which are borne [by me] from the belly, which are carried from the womb:
Isa 46:4 And [even] to [your] old age I [am] he; and [even] to hoar hairs will I carry
[you]: I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver [you].

From conception to old age, He is our God, He knows us and lifts us up.
How can anyone say we aren't human?

Isa 49:1 Listen, O isles, unto me; and hearken, ye people, from far; The LORD hath
called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name.

Isa 49:5 And now, saith the LORD that formed me from the womb [to be] his servant,………..

He's formed us for a specific purpose.
Our life plan is laid out while we are in our mothers belly.
You don't make plans for a lump of 'meat'.

Speaking of John the baptist:

Luk 1:76 And thou, child, shalt be called the prophet of the Highest: for thou shalt go
before the face of the Lord to prepare his ways;

Paul, speaking of his calling to the work of Christ, said:
Gal 1:15 But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb, and
called [me] by his grace,
Gal 1:16 To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen;
immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood:

Our founding fathers, in apostolic times, didn't have a problem understanding that life begins before conception, it begins in God's mind, not after birth.
Many have stated that God called them from the womb.
How do you call an embrionic mass to work?
In Gods eyes, it is what He planned it to be already.Alive.

In France, a court has awarded damages to a boy because he was born and not aborted. His mother contracted rubella early in her pregnancy which caused partial blindness, deafness, and mental disabilities. His parents sued the laboratory who made a mistake thinking she had been vaccinated against the disease thus denying her the chance to have an abortion.

This suit has caused some concern in France because of its possible implications which could lead to more abortions of pregnancies in which the outcome of a healthy infant may be in some doubt. As one woman said, "It is terrible for those people to have to face those sort of problems but we cannot approve the idea of claiming for compensation for being alive."
