Thats about 127.5 million people who are deluded by spiritualism in North America. This is based on a population of 250 million.
I included the undecided, and without the undecided we are looking at 80 million.
God Bless,

I think it could be even higher, as there are those who would say "no" to a ghost type question, but believe their loved ones are in heaven, and would believe that's who was talking to them if they saw them.

Television is gaining popularity with programs where people either are supposedly talking to God in the form of human beings, or speaking to dead people, or mediums who help the police find the killer. It is even in the comedies now with witches and broomsticks, etc.

We've come a long way from the Salem witch hunts haven't we! The pendulum swings hard.

And mediums on TV who supposedly talk to audience members' departed loved ones. Sylvia Brown on the Montel Williams show every now and then; John Edward; James Van Praagh. It's become a mega-million dollar industry lately. There's even a 'pet psychic' lady on Animal Planet who claims to talk to critters who have "crossed over to the other side."
"Through the two great errors, the immortality of the soul and Sunday sacredness, Satan will bring the people under his deceptions. While the former lays the foundation of spiritualism, the latter creates a bond of sympathy with Rome."
{GC 588.1}
Those are some staggering numbers Will! And Tom E. makes a good point about professing Christians who wouldn't go after any of these spiritistic mediums, but would nonetheless believe it was Dear Aunt Maude talking to them if a spirit should appear, claiming to have come from heaven. "Trust your favorite aunt; Jesus changed the proper day to Sunday, just like our family always kept it. Never mind what this strange cult's saying. Can the whole world be wrong?"

I think what is going to probably be even more powerful is John Paul II coming back and backing up the current pope and the president when they enforce the Sunday law. After the tremendous impact his death had on the world, how much greater would his return be?

That's an interesting thought indeed, Wendy. His 'appearance' would seal things up tight in a lot of people's minds.
