Languages Referring to the 7th Day as the Sabbath - 12/15/09 03:36 AM
I find it a form of evidence that Saturday is referred to as the Sabbath in a vast number of different languages.
I will list some of the more common ones here:
Spanish (Spain) - Sábado
Portuguese (Portugal) - Sabbado
Italian (Italy) - Sabbato
French (France) - Samedi
High German (Germany) - Samstag
Prussian (Prussia) - Sabatico
Russian (Russia) - Subbota
Polish - Sobota
