Hi Green Cochoa,
The only text that immediately came to the top in my mind
was your first Quote, Green Cochoa, at the top of your list the Second Commandment, so mauled in the Sunday sabbath debate, where it is entirely deleted by the Sunday supporters. The other thought in the Second Commandment is that God wants to show ". . . . mercy to thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments. . . ." All deleted by the Sunday folk.
God's mercy is hot, and His jealousy is hot. So we have the Great Controversy, to bring us forgiveness, and save us from sin.
So that every neighbour and every one of us, becomes of infinite value. All Heaven is steamed up over any lady working in the diamond fields of Zimbabwe, being cut down
by Robert Mugabe's overhead helicopter gunships.
So let us admire God's act of jealousy in wanting to preserve His true worship, for only in following Jesus is there any freedom at all. That lesson got off on the wrong foot with me, 'cos i want to read what the Bible says about jealousy. " . . . .for I the LORD thy God
am a jealous God. . . ." Was i wrong in thinking that?
God bless,
johannes.
