Appreciation of Donations Received in 2007 Towards the 2007 Expenses of Maritime SDA OnLine

First of all, I want to thank those of you who have donated towards the expenses of Maritime SDA Online in 2006. Donations received in 2006 went towards the expenses of 2006 with some spilling over to also help cover some of the expenses of 2007.

We are now looking for and accepting, with much appreciation, donations in 2007 to cover the upcoming 2007 expenses pertaining to the annual ongoing expenses of MSDAOL in relation to server usage fees, software upgrades, domain name renewal, etc.

I want to begin by publically thanking the person who was the first person, on New Year's Day even, to make a donation of $8.00 USD towards the 2007 expenses of MSDAOL.

I want to publically thank the person who made the second donation in 2007 in the amount of $5.00 USD towards the 207 expenses of MSDAOL.

I want to once again publically thank the person who was the first person, on New Year's Day, to make a donation of $8.00 USD towards the 2007 expenses of MSDAOL, and now also the third person to make a donation of $10.00 USD towards the 2007 expenses of MSDAOL.

Due to software problems the last couple of weeks, it may be necessary to upgrade to a different plan that will triple the expenses of MSDAOL. Unless donations greatly increase here within the next few weeks, I am presently not financially prepared to do such an upgrade.

The alternative is to close down the forums of MSDAOL for a period of six hours each and every Sabbath, as this seems to be the time of their weekly back-up that seems to be causing the software problem, that also takes about six hours to repair. There is also the risk of permanent corruption that would destroy all the posting data, therefore, I am looking at ways of resolving this problem and great risk.

I want to publically thank the person who donated $20.00 USD on March 29, 2007 towards the 2007 expenses of MSDAOL.

I want to publically thank the person who donated $25.00 USD on April 26, 2007 towards the 2007 expenses of MSDAOL.

So far in 2007 we received the following in donations:

1 - $8.00 USD received on New Year's Day.
2 - $5.00 USD received on January 14th.
3 - $10.00 USD received on March 12th.
4 - $20.00 USD received on March 29th.
5 - $25.00 USD received on April 26th.

So far in 2007 this is the total expenses:

As I didn't receive the necessary $$$$ to upgrade to a faster more expensive and a more dedicated server, I am forced to continue using the one I am using, which means to continue being closed for several hours every Saturday.

As donations were better in 2006, I was able to carry some of the donated funds from 2006 and apply them to the 2007 expenses.

I am now going to try and post this type of information here, with more detailed information being made available, if and when requested, in the new and private Active & Supporting Members forum of MSDAOL.
