Happy Canada Day!!!
Growing up in Canada I was pretty apathetic about being a Canadian, when I was overseas I finally understood.

I also learned a number of Americans put Canadian flags on the suitcases for protection.

That sounds like an excellent idea!

If I am ever off this continent for any reason, I must remember to do that also so I won't be mistaken for an American.

For a number of years
My Passport was Canadian and I lived in California, my citizenship is in Heaven. Thought that was a pretty good combination.

I should be getting a US passport in January.
