At the link below there is an interview with the author of "The Political Pope". The author, George Neumayr, is a Catholic and his book is highly critical of the current pope. His criticisms of this pope are pretty interesting. They are fairly reminiscent of the criticisms of the emerging church movement in Protestantism, and he, like I do, consider this pope more politically oriented than anything else. He says the pope is "left wing". I say he is a socialist, pure and simple.

This is why, when a person starts taking the same positions this pope does on anything, be it politics, economics, social issues, or the Bible, it ought to be a warning signal to them that they are off the track spiritually.
