Canadian Prime Minister Carney seeks partnership with China!
This news has a lot of Canadians reeling in disbelief. If it weren't for the fact it's on multiple news channels one would think it's some AI generated sensational imaginary situation.
Carney going to China to arrange strategic partnership with Beijing to prepare for a "new world order."
During the meeting, Carney thanked Chinese leader Xi Jinping for his work on the relationship between Ottawa and Beijing in the lead-up to his visit.
"This sets the stage for these important discussions on a wide range of issues where we can be strategic partners," Carney said, adding that Canada is entering a "new era of relations" with China. "I believe the progress that we have made in the partnership sets us up well for the new world order."
He added that his government wants to cooperate with China on issues related to energy, security, people-to-people ties, and multilateralism. (Epoch Times 1/16/26)
"Canada does not belong in Beijing's New World Order. Our people deserve freedom, not subjugation before the Chinese Communist Party." Spoke out one Conservative MP.
Though exactly what Carney meant by "new world order" is not really defined here.
Well, at the moment it seems it's about trade-- canola, lumber, oil, food, EV cars.
Carney is breaking some trading ties, and rules with the USA and establishing them with China.
Sort of telling the US -- if you don't play nice we'll just partner up with your biggest rival.
Trump's response was one of unconcern.
An invitation from Trump for Carney to join the Board of Peace between Israel and Hamas arrived Thursday, as the prime minister was in Beijing to meet with Chinese leaders including President Xi Jinping. Apparently Carney accepts Trumps invitation.
It's all rather confusing.
The big shots are playing games -- are they sitting at the same table?
Just how it will all end we don't know, though it doesn't look good.
During the 2025 election campaign, Carney said China is the number one security threat to Canada. Back then, while discussing establishing trade partners to diversify trade , he had singled out China as not a candidate as they did not share Canadian values.
But now? Suddenly? Instead of going to those other potential places to enhance diversified trade, he goes to China??? And calls them a ?strategic partner.?
Well Trump still wants to annex Canada. If this deal with China escalates into Canada finding itself accepting China "values" and controls as conditions for trade, Trump may find a lot of Canadians supporting his acquisition of the 51st State Dream.
It may all be more Hegelian strategies.
