Exercise is a vital component of diabetes control too. When one builds up more muscle, there are more hungry cells to take up the glucose that's floating around in the blood. I am currently getting back into an exercise and walking program. I was getting so weak after sitting in the hospital with my son for nearly a month. It's encouraging to see and feel the evidence of strength returning!

I am supposed to walk two miles a day, but am getting exhausted, so will have to see if the meds need adjustment...
