There is such an incredible amount of argument on this site, at times even devolving into mean spirited, ad hominem, attacks far from the gentle Spirit of Christ. This is even more prevalent on other SDA sympathetic sites. Some of it is good and fruitful discussion; however, a huge amount of it is no different in spirit than "how many angels can dance on the head of a pin?".
With so many pseudo Penticostal movements burning their way through various, mostly, protestant denominations, I wonder what the genuine article looks like? What does it mean to be of one accord?
Below, is a repost from the Global Warming Farce thread. I felt it deserving of a separate discussion. The context is the rapidly increasing number of "natural" and man-made, disasters:
Our Father is opening doors for us on a scale never seen before! And we squander our precious energy bickering over how squeaky the hinges are. WE MUST ALL BE WITH ONE ACCORD IN ONE PLACE!
Open your eyes! The Second Beast is stretching his Dragon lips to speak!
Your hair is wet. Your hands, your arms, your face, water runs down your cheeks like tears for the lost. Can you not feel it? The first drops of Rain have begun to fall...
"...I will not forget you. Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands..."
Isaiah 49:15-16

OF ONE ACCORD
"These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication." Acts 1:14 "And when the Day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place." Acts 2:1
The term "One Accord" is found 20 times in scripture.
The Greek term often translated as "one accord" is "homothumadon." This word combines "homo," meaning "same," and "thumos," referring to passion, heart, purpose.
The disciples, being in one accord, does not mean they now thought identical thoughts, but it does mean they shared passionate commitment to the teachings of Christ and the mission of spreading the Gospel. They were dedicated to living out the values of the Kingdom of God. This unity was not forced or artificial, but a natural outflow of the Holy Spirit?s work in the hearts of believers.
They were no longer a collection of independent units or discordant, conflicting elements, with each trying for position and honor. No longer were their hopes set on worldly greatness. They were of "one accord," "of one heart and of one soul." Acts 2:46; 4:32. Christ filled their thoughts; the advancement of His kingdom was their aim. In mind and character they had become like their Master, and men "took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus." Acts 4:13.
In 1 Corinthians 1:10, Paul pleads for unity: ?I appeal to you, brothers and sisters, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another so that there may be no divisions among you and that you may be perfectly united in mind and thought.? This verse shows the importance of overcoming divisions to achieve this being "of one accord.".
Jesus himself prayed for this unity among his followers in John 17:21, saying, "that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you."

Will the Adventist church ever be "in one accord" concerning the "prophetic message" that is the very foundation of Adventism? When browsing forums it seems impossible as everyone who has a unique "study" is pushing their "new light", and prophecy begins to sound very confusing with nothing solid to stand on, yet, if we step back and view the core bases of where the church stands in it's prophetic understanding, there is a foundation.
A story of encouragement. God has given us precious light, but powers are trying to bury this light, yet, the promise -- the spurious will be taken away and the truths will shine brighter than ever before.
William's Dream Found in "Early Writings" pages 81-83
I dreamed that God, by an unseen hand, sent me a curiously wrought casket about ten inches long by six square, made of ebony and pearls curiously inlaid. To the casket there was a key attached. I immediately took the key and opened the casket, when, to my wonder and surprise, I found it filled with all sorts and sizes of jewels, diamonds, precious stones, and gold and silver coin of every dimension and value, beautifully arranged in their several places in the casket; and thus arranged they reflected a light and glory equaled only to the sun. I thought it was not my duty to enjoy this wonderful sight alone, although my heart was overjoyed at the brilliancy, beauty, and value of its contents. I therefore placed it on a center table in my room and gave out word that all who had a desire might come and see the most glorious and brilliant sight ever seen by man in this life. The people began to come in, at first few in number, but increasing to a crowd. When they first looked into the casket, they would wonder and shout for joy. But when the spectators increased, everyone would begin to trouble the jewels, taking them out of the casket and scattering them on the table. ... I then began to plead with the people not to handle them, nor to take them out of the casket; but the more I pleaded, the more they scattered; and now they seemed to scatter them all over the room, on the floor and on every piece of furniture in the room.
I then saw that among the genuine jewels and coin they had scattered an innumerable quantity of spurious jewels and counterfeit coin. I was highly incensed at their base conduct and ingratitude, and reproved and reproached them for it; but the more I reproved, the more they scattered the spurious jewels and false coin among the genuine.
I then became vexed in my physical soul and began to use physical force to push them out of the room; but while I was pushing out one, three more would enter and bring in dirt and shavings and sand and all manner of rubbish, until they covered every one of the true jewels, diamonds, and coins, which were all excluded from sight. They also tore in pieces my casket and scattered it among the rubbish. I thought no man regarded my sorrow or my anger. I became wholly discouraged and disheartened, and sat down and wept.
While I was thus weeping and mourning for my great loss and accountability, I remembered God, and earnestly prayed that He would send me help.
Immediately the door opened, and a man entered the room, the people all left; and he, having a dirt brush in his hand, opened the windows, and began to brush the dirt and rubbish from the room. I cried to him to forbear, for there were some precious jewels scattered among the rubbish.
He told me to "fear not," for he would "take care of them". Then, while he brushed the dirt and rubbish, false jewels and counterfeit coin, all rose and went out of the window like a cloud, and the wind carried them away. In the bustle I closed my eyes for a moment; when I opened them, the rubbish was all gone. The precious jewels, the diamonds, the gold and silver coins, lay scattered in profusion all over the room. He then placed on the table a casket, much larger and more beautiful than the former, and gathered up the jewels, the diamonds, the coins, by the handful, and cast them into the casket, till not one was left, although some of the diamonds were not bigger than the point of a pin. He then called upon me to "come and see." I looked into the casket, but my eyes were dazzled with the sight. They shone with ten times their former glory. I thought they had been scoured in the sand by the feet of those wicked persons who had scattered and trod them in the dust. They were arranged in beautiful order in the casket, every one in its place, without any visible pains of the man who cast them in. I shouted with very joy, and that shout awoke me.

Ive never seen that before, but let me tell you I am now seeing that happen online. All over the Chirstian sites, the old distortions and concocted prophecies and false religious frameworks are disappearing as at the same time that the core of Gods truth is being brought back before them with great power, such as the truth of the Sabbath impact that Charley Kirk brought and the meltdown over the truth of the state of the dead that Kirk Cameron has put before them. It is Gods hand moving these things as the Holy Spirit begins to be poured out. We shall see even more, we need to prepare ourselves...
