Have all the events and signs of the End Times come about?


What is left? This question was asked in Sabbath School class and one person said they were waiting for the 'Sunday laws' and then they would get ready for the second coming.

I laughed and told them that the laws they put into effect after 9/11 should have told them that by they time they learn of any 'event/emergency' the laws will already be in place.

The final end time events will happen so fast that if you are not prepared now, you may not get a chance when they happen then.

But what signs are there left, it seems every one of them has come about, what is left?.......

Which is why the first error is to wait for something special to happen before getting ready. The time to get ready is now.

Indeed, the time is NOW to seek the LORD and beg for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit to prepare.

Wickedness has increased to very sordid heights, all God's laws are being trampled.
Sodom and Gomorrah were given as a warning illustrating what happens when wickedness mocks God's ways.
When we see Los Angeles in flames, Hollywood's mansions turning to dust, is this saying something?



?I am bidden to declare the message that cities full of transgression, and sinful in the extreme, will be destroyed by earthquakes, by fire, by flood. All the world will be warned that there is a God who will display His authority as God. His unseen agencies will cause destruction, devastation, and death. All the accumulated riches will be as nothingness. Notwithstanding the scientific care with which men safeguard buildings from destruction, one touch of the great and rightful Ruler will bring to nothingness the idolatrous possessions that have been laid up in a sightly and magnificent display. When God's restraining hand is removed, the destroyer begins his work. Then in our cities the greatest calamities will come.--3MR 314 (1897).


O that God?s people had a sense of the impending destruction of
thousands of cities, now almost given to idolatry! . . .
I saw an immense ball of fire falling among some beautiful mansions, causing their instant destruction. I heard someone say, ?We knew that the judgments of God were coming upon the earth, but we did not know that they would come so soon.? Others said, ?You knew? Why then did you not tell us? We did not know.? On every side I heard such words spoken. . . . {OFC 318.1}

The time is near when large cities will be swept away, and all should be warned of these coming judgments. But who is giving to the accomplishment of this work the wholehearted service that God requires? . . . {Ev 29.2}

All the warning signs have already happened. The signs urging us to seek the Lord, are all blaring loudly all around us. The seven trumpets have all sounded their warnings spelling out the deceptions of Satan and the results of following them. When the seventh trumpet ends, the Divine censor is cast down, intercession closes, probation closes. It definitely is TOO LATE.

The wars, rumors of wars, nations in agitation,

Famines, pestilences, disasters

People loving pleasure and self and putting God into a box of their imagination. Evil being called good, and good being called evil. Greed, lust, falsehoods everywhere.

Spiritualism, devils appearing in supernatural guise as people who died, and they are literally directing people and nations. Yes, some of these apparitions even claiming to be Christ. (This phenomena will explode to even greater and more public heights - but don't wait for the seeming irrefutable evidence of supernatural to overwhelm you before making sure your relationship with the true Christ).

False prophets, actually quite popular in our day, totally twisting the prophecies to promise a soon coming era of peace.

False doctrines, dangerously close to the truth. Lots of good stuff in it, but laced throughout are the pillars of deception.
*Death is not really death, you don't really die,
*and we need a day of rest, their "Sabbath" arguments sound just like ours EXCEPT it's to uplift Sunday, not the day God blessed,
*and yes the false, yet true sounding belief that Christ is coming soon, lets prepare our actions, but why? so we can reign with Him during the 1000 year reign over the earth, that basically Trump, though not perfect, is only beginning what Christ will continue when He comes, bringing in a golden millennium of peace and greatness?)

*False Christ's, yes there have been numerous ones.

Things are closing in to deceive even the very elect, because it will seem things are happening, turning the world to a more moral civilization, a more God centered civilization, and a lot of Christians, even Adventists who have it spelled out for them so they need not be deceived, will fall for it.

The last sign may well be a majority of Adventists accepting the worlds reformation as God's way, and thinking all this talk about a day and coming destruction is false. This will be a serious test, to stand alone when those around you turn against you.

Yes, we can definitely see the writing on the wall.

I tell that to the brethren, in sermons, at Sabbath School, at pot luck, when traveling...... But the response is not urgent or awakening experience on the whole, they seem to have grown weary of being urged to be ready. Not sure what more one can do...

Chapter 1: Interested in prophecy? Stop asking the wrong question.

Ok? What are the wrong questions? Or rather, what is the right question?

The disciples asked a question :
what will be the sign (singular sign) of your coming and of the end of the age?? (Matthew 24:3)

Jesus speaks of many things in Mathew 24 that will be happening, like wars, rumors of wars, earthquakes, famines, and false prophets, but, though they are warnings that the end is coming, they are NOT the sign.

Jesus said: "See to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come? (Matthew 24:6, NIV)

There have been terrible wars in the last 120 or so years. They seemed to be bringing in the great time of trouble, and they were very troublesome times, yet Jesus has not returned. There have been some big and serious earth quakes, famines, as well as wars, yet this old world is still here. They were not THE sign.

What was the ONE thing Jesus actually said would signal the end?

Jesus gave the one sign that actually matters.

?And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come? (Matthew 24:14, NIV).

Before the coming of the Son of man, the everlasting gospel is to be preached to those who dwell on the earth -- to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people." (see Revelation 14:6)

Jesus did not say that all the world will be converted, but that "this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come." By giving the gospel to the world we have a part in the Lord's return.

Now, the afore mentioned study points out we may be thinking the wrong interpretation of the word "nations".
We think of nations as political entities with borders which are pictured as occupying certain areas on the map. Thus we may think -- yes, we have preached the gospel in most all of those "nations".

But
"The word Jesus used was ethnos, plural ethnē. It is the root of our word ethnicity and does not describe political entities. It describes people groups: communities of shared language, culture, ancestry, and identity.



The next question:
How will the last sign be fulfilled?
Is it even possible considering the statistics?

The Hope Channel Bible study gives an answer --

1. God said it will happen, and thus it will happen, but He wants us to be part of it.
2. We need the Holy Spirit to be our guide and power.
3. Follow the pattern of Acts 1: 8

What is this pattern?
"You will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." Acts 1:8

Jerusalem = your home town or city. Witness in your home area. We are familiar with that call and it is important.
Judea and Samaria = supporting the witness in your surrounding area, province, state or country.
Unto the ends of the earth = don't forget all those people out there! They need the gospel, too!

How can we reach those people who seem far removed from us?
Not all can be missionaries in foreign lands, and the ones who go are on an important mission to help bring light into the darkness, but their witness is limited.
BUT --
Radio, TV, Satellite communications can reach every area of the world, and with increasing technology it can reach them in their own language. But they need workers and support as well.

The study was done by Hope Channel International, and their appeal is that we all, as church members awaken to the urgency of getting the gospel preached to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people.

The world is heading for destruction. The gospel is the door of escape into life everlasting with Jesus Christ our Redeemer, Savior and Lord.

It's not a war or a famine that signals the end, it is when the gospel is preached to every nation, tongue and people that the end will come. Not till then can the final decision be made.

The Sunday law, when it comes, stands against the gospel. It seeks to enforce a law contrary to God's law under the guise of honoring God -- but people can't be brought to the final decision until they understand the gospel. All will need to chose to either follow and entrust their lives in love and obedience to "the Lamb" of God, or to follow the demands of an imposter that stands against "the Lord of the Sabbath" and the laws of His kingdom.

We have been in our Laodicean condition so long that our spiritual muscles have weakened and we hurt to even move it seems..
