Removal of the Separation of Church and State?

One of the definite signs of the 2nd Coming is the removal of the separation of church and state.
Does anybody know where things are at in regards to the removal of the separation of church and state?
Are there any signs that this is happening in the United States, in Canada, and elsewhere?

In scandinavia things are moving in the oposite direction. The lutheran churches which have been tied to the state since the days of Luther are gradually being separated into free churches.
Galatians 2 21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.
It is so hazardous to take here a little and there a little. If you put the right little's together you can make the bible teach anything you wish. //Graham Maxwell

Opposite things regarding stores being allowed to open on Sundays has also been happening here, but not without a lot of concern coming from the religious arena, therefore, I see a time when the straw is going to come that will break the camel's back and we will see an about face in regards to this and many other things.
In other areas, the state in Canada and parts of the USA have already enacted legislation that negatively affects religious thinking, much to the concern of the religious community.

Well, looks like Trump is pushing for it.. "Americans are used to hearing about the tradition of separating church and state, but the two are increasingly fused in President Donald Trump's administration. The First Amendment, after all, in addition to guaranteeing free speech, says that Congress shall "make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof." US leaders talk about Jesus Christ at Kirk's funeral Never in recent memory have Americans seen more top government officials speak so openly about Jesus Christ as they did at Charlie Kirk's memorial, which Trump described as "an old-time revival" rather than a funeral.. Where does religious belief veer into Christian nationalism? Christian nationalism is the concept "rejected by many scholars" that the US was formed as a Christian nation and that Christianity should imbue its laws.... Many Trump administration actions have blurred the lines between church and state. ".. https://www.pbs.org/newshour/politi...ive-orders-related-to-faith-announcement"Trump, brushing aside separation of church and state, establishes religious liberty commission ?We?re bringing religion back to our country, and it?s a big deal,? the president said. President Donald Trump on Thursday signed an executive order establishing a presidential commission on religious liberty, openly questioning the separation of church and state in an escalation of the White House?s increasing fervor for Christianity. ?They say separation between church and state ? I said, ?All right, let?s forget about that for one time,?? the president said during a Rose Garden event celebrating National Prayer Day. The Constitution?s prohibition of a national religion has long been interpreted as a mandatory separation of church and state. Trump is not a regular church-goer but he sees religious conservatives as the base of his political movement. ?They said, really there?s separation. I don?t know. Is that a good thing or a bad thing? I?m not sure, but whether there?s separation or not, you guys are in the White House where you should be, and you?re representing our country, and we?re bringing religion back to our country, and it?s a big deal.?https://www.politico.com/news/2025/05/01/trump-religious-commission-church-state-00321814 https://www.npr.org/2025/06/23/1254614609/1a-church-06-23-2025https://www.cnn.com/2025/09/22/politics/kirk-funeral-trump-christianity-government-analysis

It seems that we are seeing prophecy being fulfilled before our eyes.

It seems that we are seeing prophecy being fulfilled before our eyes. Yes, it does! What is sad is that some Seventh-day Adventists seem to believe that we can go along with it just as long as it is not specifically Sunday Laws. The Sabbath/Sunday issue is what will bring the test to the Christian world, (hints that it may come to others in other ways.) We need to look at the principles of liberty of conscience.

It's not just Adventists that are seeing the erosion of the wall separating church and state. Others are seeing it as well.
The difficulty comes because some see the wall of separation as a wall that outlaws Christians to express their values in public. Somehow people need to understand that the purpose of the wall is "freedom of religion" the freedom to live and express religion according their personal convictions, which means the state can't make laws enforcing everyone to observe one religion. The wall is not placed their to deny people religious expression.
Of course so many grey areas have been brought in that there is much confusion. Freedom of Religion has been used to enable people who are against Christianity to put down Christian principles, values and beliefs and enforce their sinful ways to be accepted as normal, and demand no one has a right to uphold or even voice Christian values in public, or condemn sinful values in public. That's not freedom of religion. It has actually torn down part of the wall by getting the state to deny religious expression, and sharing of one's values.
For example -- if a person sets up a nice display of the nativity on their front lawn or in some visible place, (in December) they may be criticized and told to take it down, as it is "offensive" to some people. While others can decorate visible places with grave stones with simulated body parts laying about and ghost like objects hanging from trees (in October) but that must not be criticized, even though it is very offensive to some people.
It's actually by misusing "freedom of religion" and turning it into a "freedom to promote sin" and hush up any people who may express concern, that causes the back lash -- when people WANT the state to start enforcing Christianity.
The scary part -- Those who oppose the move to take down the wall of separation, will be classified with the mobs who want "freedom to promote sin", even though they agree with Christian values, but oppose the separation because they want freedom to obey God's law as He gave it, and live according to His will. When governments start making laws on how and when to worship, persecution is not far behind.

And then after attacking the wall separating church and state, the conservative Protestants are feasted to a war of words between the leader of the 'free' world and the Pope. The Image showing its power by taking on and clashing with the Beast. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/worl...es-tyrant-using-god-for-gain/ar-AA213xsdhttps://newrepublic.com/post/208941/pope-leo-message-donald-trump-pentagon-threathttps://www.thedailybeast.com/pope-leo-delivers-holy-warning-to-trump-in-blistering-address/https://www.cnn.com/2026/04/04/middleeast/pope-leo-iran-war-analysis-latam-intlAnd they use what is holy in the profane much like the sons of Aaron who offered strange fire before the Lord
