My Junior class sure got excited over writing to "Real Live Missionaries!" I have six letters plus mine, to send when I get to the Post Office.

Hey, that's great!
Remember to keep the envelopes from being too big, or I have to open them in front of the islamic inspectors for contraband! Split them up if they make a bulky package...Normal looking is the ticket!
No angel stamps or US flags, please. The local post office will let you choose stamps or just meter stamp them...Be sure to say "This is in South East Asia" or it might get sent to Africa or the Middle East, since their are countries with similiar looking names to small town postal-clerks/fishin' license peddlers...Know what I mean?

Just a belated "Koos-ee-kow" (Dusun for "Thank You") to Mike Lowe and Dora for sending letters to our Dusun friends via this Mission. We will take them up this trip and read them the friends. I just got an idea Dora: Perhaps the Juniors would each like to send a Thank You postcard to Bro. Sim; he would feel really appreciated ![[Heart]](graemlins/heart.gif) for his quiet yet brave part in His work, and greatly loved. Just a simple "Thank you, Sim!" in their own hand, and a signature. Your neat printing would need to be on Sim's address, of course. You know, just some Wal-Mart postcards, each a different one the kids can choose. Maybe next time you are in town you can grab some.

I almost missed your post here! I always try to keep some cards on hand, so I will get this done tomorrow. I think that is an excellent idea! That man is definitely a missionary and one of God's Soldiers!

A Blessed Late Birthday, Ikan!
Too bad the Juniors didn't know it was coming up, for that is one of the kinds of thing they like to do most...make Birthday cards!
But, we did get cards done today for Brother S. They were all for fixing them. Now, I will be e-mailing you for some further instructions.
After we have our songs, we have our "Borneo Mission Report" and then our praise and prayer time. They were all so thankful for God's watchcare in the narrow escape you all had, and we prayed for your protection in the coming week.
They were amused with the idea of "Koo-see-kow" meaning "Thank You," and they all had to try saying it to each other.
Another $15 came in from one of my dear sisters there today. She said she would be bringing me more, and I told her I was going to wait until our librarian comes back next week before buying more books. There well may be some duplicates that will be good to send.
Slowly, but surely, Ikan, God will work it all out..."But my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus."
But, you already know that!!

Well...how about getting them " a cuttin' and pastin'" for my wife's Birthday then, May 9th! That's a long warning! As long as that last letter took, best start right away, huh?
Here's what we plan to do with the Junior's letters to the Dusun kids: we will translate and write in Malay on the back of each letter what it says, then let them read it. Hopefully we can get them to write a letter to each Junior in reply; any fully Malay ones we will translate and mail back to you.

Well...the Dusun kids wrote some great letters, in English!, to your Juniors, Dora, and they are in the mail. You got some real Borneo Pen-pals now!
Mike I gave your letter to the church Elder, Wesley, who spends his days in the jungles repairing Cat equipment. Quite an adventurous guy.
Thanks for wanting to be friends with the friendliest people on earth!
