California burning.

The most recent fire is the Warnella fire, which started on Aug. 20. It is 5% contained and has burned 290 acres so far.

The largest active fire is the Scu Lightning Complex fire, which has burned 137,475 acres so far. It started on Aug. 18 and is 5% contained."

The fires were raging very near Ellen White's property -- Elmshaven.

Saint Helena and part of the Napa Valley had fires, causing Adventists to worry about the safety of one of the most iconic historic landmarks in Adventism?Elmshaven the west coast home of Ellen G. White in her latter years..

Elmshaven was spared. Sadly, the Foothills SDA Elementary School was not. It burned to the ground yesterday. There was no loss of life.

Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2020 UPDATE:
Today, Elmshaven staff went back to review the property. As they drove around the neighborhood, it came to their surprise that most of the original 74 acres of Elmshaven's property, that Ellen White purchased did not burn. Everything else around it has. Pictures show the whole area just across the street from the entrance into the Elmshaven property was burned. Really quite remarkable!

Maybe God likes historic landmarks, to help us remember how God led in the past -- was the shielding of this historic Adventist landmark a miracle?
