"Hate Lierature???"

If this is not the appropriate thread to start this topic; please direct me.

I am currently studying with someone who is a professing Catholic, seemingly well versed on many matters, and we are studying the question of whether or not the book Great Controversy, by Ellen G White, is hate literature.

This Catholic person feels Mrs. White is very "uncharitable," among other things.

What do others say? I would be very interested in dialogue on this matter.
