Dating Vs Courtship

I hear it a lot, you may of heard it a lot. Dating is of the devil, and christians court. But the simple question is, what is the difference? Anyone have any idea? Me neither!

I've always thought that dating would come first, the first casual getting-to-know-you meetings to see whether or not the two could find enough common ground so as to take it further.

To me, courtship is when two people realize that their lives could become one and their dating becomes serious to lead to marriage.

I don't like the word DATE anymore. the world had turned it into something sexual and ugly. I like courting, it sounds romantic and oldfashiond.

Soo... From your perspective Lisa, there is no real difference between dating and courting other than dating, in the worlds opinion, is "sexual and ugly?"
