Have Iron Will Think?¿?

Have Iron Will Think?¿? - 09/02/00 12:32 AM

Dear Friends,

I ask for prayers - this time for myself.

In several of my posts I have expressed a sense of weariness and it's been something that has been getting worse in me for some time now - along with some dizzy spells. This week I was called in to the dr's office and he told me that, basically, I am "running on fumes." My iron level is SO low that it didn't even register when they did the test.

I am trying to treat this by adding more iron-enriched food to my diet as I would really prefer not to take the supplements if I can help it as the side-effects of those are another whole problem!!

For several weeks now I've found that my "thinking processes" seem to be running VERY slow and are often scattered - and I'm thinking that the exhaustion I've been feeling could be triggering that as well.

I ask that you will pray that the change in diet WILL have the desired affect and that I will gain my strength back quickly without the need for supplements.

Thank you!

Dear Heavenly Father,

First of all, we thank You for Peggy's willingness to pray for others.

And now, we pray to You for Peggy herself who needs the touch and wisdom of The Great Physician.

Please direct Peggy to the best diet that will build up her iron deficit to overflowing.

We know that there is iron in abundance in some of the food that You have created for us.

Each kind of food was created for our health.

Guide Peggy to the right ones so that she can continue to live the abundant life for You.

In Jesus' name we pray,

Amen!

Peggy,
I will pray for you, and will add you to my list.
I also suggest you talk to Linda Sutton.
She runs the health forum here on Maritime.

Father, I pray that you will be with sister Peggy, help her to find those foods that will build her up, and guide her to those that can help her.

Strengthen her in this time, give her the ability to think clearly and guide her to those that can and will help.
Thank you, Father, in Jesus name, Amen.

Lord, please help Peggy to receive whatever she needs for her iron count to come up.

You know how her body works and how it can deal with the foods that she eats.

Please heal her even on the microbiotic level. We believe together in your power and your grace.

In Jesus' name, Amen.

Dear Father, we ask that you place your healing hands on Peggy. You know that this world we live in places many challenges in our ways, and you have designed our bodies to enable us to meet those challenges, holding fast to you. I lift up Peggy and ask that you restore her body's balances, that you will touch her and heal her. Give her the strength, wisdom and courage to remain strong, even when her strength is low, remind her that when we are weak, You are strong. I thank you Lord that you hear our prayers and answer before we ask. Thy will be done Lord, for I know that You are with us, regardless of where we are.
In the name of Jesus I pray, Amen.

Peggy,
You might have an iron absorbsion problem that has developed in your body. Check with your personal physician or get them to refer you to the appropriate specialist.

If this is so, too often even concentrated supplements are not absorbed through the digestive track. Then an iron IV is needed to go directly into the bloodstream, bypassing the faulty absorbtion process. A co-worker had to have this done, the IV was slow - nearly 8 hours. Now they feel better than they have in years.

Foods & herbs do not generate dietary iron, they only pass on what forms of it they have absorbed and modified for their use (in the case of living plants uptaking iron during growth). Cooking with oil seasoned, but without non-stick coating iron utensils; can only help add dietary iron inside your red blood cells & bone marrow & organs IF IT IS ABSORBED & PROCESSED BY THE DIGESTIVE SYSTEM AND SENT WHERE IT NEEDS TO GO IN THE BODY. If not you could swallow powdered nails & get gastric/intestinal upset but little to no iron uptake where you need it.

Sounds like time for a visit to your personal physician and possibly a specialist.
1. Find out what you immediatly need to get your iron levels up pronto.
2. Find out why they bottomed out & don't want to pick back up now.
3. What therapy is needed for routine iron screening & iron related health on a long term basis. If it is an chronic internal condition that resists cure or eludes diagnosis. Long term therapy will be needed to get the iron in you & where it needs to be at regular intervals during your life.
4. Find workable logistics to impliment the needed diagnostics & therapies as a lifestyle.

Hello Edward,

Thank you for your advice. I have been to see my doctor about another problem which is how we ended up finding out about the iron. We are trying the supplements for a couple of months and then I am supposed to be tested again at the end of October. If things have not improved by that time then other things will have to be looked at. Seems to be the "theme" the last couple of weeks as I found out today that there are some other problems that now have to be monitored and dealt with. Fibroids, cysts, and low iron! But this too shall pass - I keep faith that God will see me through it all!

Peggy,

Since this is the prayer forum, I'll take only a few words to suggest that you might try chelated iron. It seems to absorb better.

Linda
