Please Pray For me

I have been feeling very discouraged for some time now.
I am the only SDA believer in my family: it is hard
to be a solitary spark without growing cold.

This site has been an anchor of fellowship,
a connection to the Church Body that I do not have
in the small town where I live.

Still I feel my faith weakening,
my hand losing the strength to hold on,
I know that God is with me, yet I feel so alone...

Please, pray for me.

I was also the only SDA in our family until I married by SDA spouse, however, it would be nice to see my two remaining brothers become SDAs too.

Its good to hear the forum has been such a good experience for you. I am sorry to hear of the situation you face. yet I know all too well how that feels. I have a huge family, and most of them stopped speaking to me when I became a Seventh-day Adventist. It is still tough some days on that note.

I do know that many Bible greats have felt alone/isolated as you are expressing too, so it may also indicate God's drawing you closer to Him

I wish you a happy Sabbath, and will pray for you. I also do not have a church to go to in my town, I will be going into a park or forest soon with my camera to enjoy God's creation.

How far away are both of you from your respective nearest SDA Churches???

I am about an hour away, depending on weather and traffic conditions. I also have a terminally ill loved one I am looking after at home, so for now most times the drive is too much.

ProdigalOne, I will keep you in my prayers as well. It's never easy walking the straight and narrow and yet God will comfort any of us in these situations.

I have been blessed to have one of my sisters join the SDA church, but, most of my family and friends cut me off because of my faith.
