The elementary school shooting in Texas, what will Christians do? - 05/28/22 12:13 PM

I heard about a shooting in Texas, then that 12 children were victims, then a teacher, then two teachers and more children. It just kept coming out in little snippets of news, till it all came out....

"At least 19 children and two adults were killed when a gunman opened fire at an elementary school in Texas, authorities said Tuesday. Authorities said the shooter was killed on the scene by law enforcement officials.

After barricading himself inside a classroom, the gunman "started shooting children and teachers inside the classroom, having no regard for human life," Lt. Christopher Olivarez of the Texas Department of Public Safety told CBS News.

"Just a complete tragedy. An evil person going into the school and killing children for no reason whatsoever," he said.

Authorities said the shooter entered Robb Elementary in Uvalde, Texas, at approximately 11:32 a.m. local time, after shooting his grandmother and crashing his vehicle near the school. An official from the Texas Department of Public Safety said that upon entering the school, the shooter fired at "children, teachers, whoever was in his way."

"He was shooting everybody," the official said.".... https://www.cbsnews.com/live-updates/texas-school-shooting-robb-elementary-uvalde/

How does a Christian respond to such a thing, but is it enough to make him give up his weapons and truly depend on God to keep him safe?

While any life being lost is a tragedy, here are 19 children and 2 adults.
And while those who live by the sword die by the sword, why should this be a question today about giving up guns? Do guns kill people or evil people kill people? There are more mental health issues during the last couple of years than ever before. Maybe someone should find out what is causing such things and put a stop to them before there are more killings. If you take the guns away, and an evil person barges into a school and breaks open a vial stolen from a Chinese, Ukraine, or, yes, even a Texas biolab, does that change things?

Why isn't there emotion and an uproar about 4,000 spontaneous babies being aborted during the experimental gene therapy trials?
Why isn't there emotion and an uproar about many times more people being killed and permanently maimed while being deceived or coerced into taking the experimental gene therapy than the normal 700 people a year with other vaccines?

Why does a very small percentage of deaths in a blunt and in your face action cause the question to be asked rather than the deceptive, sleazy, sinister, evil actions being used globally?

Should a Christian respond to the one situation but not the other?

And what about the increase in suicide rates in the last two years. Especially alarming in the young, age 12-19.
