Please pray urgently and often for Jennifer Tataryn, a Young Assistant Pastor of the Henderson Highway SDA Church.

She fell off a scaffold at the Man/Sask Campmeeting breaking both her neck and her back.

She is in a hospital in Regina, Sask. She has some feeling. That's all I know at this time.

Please pray for healing that she will not be paralyzed and will be able to be up and about again.

Anybody knowing more about this, please give us an update here as we all pray for her.

I know Jennifer and her parents. I visited their home near Canora, Saskatchewan when I was a pastor in Swan River. I'll pray from Ephesians 1:8.

Lord, shower your kindness on Jennifer today, along with all wisdom and understanding for her doctors, nurses and other care-givers.

We believe together that You can bring total healing to Jennifer. This prayer is sent in Jesus' name, Amen.

You are the Great Healer and the Author of all miracles. We are praying for a miracle today. I ask, Father, that You heal Jennifer's broken body and restore to her the mobility that she had before this terrible accident. I also ask that You be with her and her family throughout the coming time while her body is healing and repairing. Give them strength and help them not to get discouraged but to always rely on You for their strength!!

Actually, Jennifer is the associate pastor of our church, so I do have an update. She wrote the church a short letter, and I will just copy it here for you:

"I am pleased to inform you as to my current condition and to let you know the story from me. If you hadn't heard, I had a serious accident where I broke my neck and back in several places. The most serious fracture was to the C-5 vertebrae. I had a semi-controlled fall from 35 feet and landed on my head. I was rushed to the Regina Hospital and placed in a halo brace, which I will be wearing anywhere from 2-6 months. (Pray for the shorter period of time.) My stay at the hospital was for 2 weeks and I had one surgery where they removed my c-5 and replaced it with a hop graft and then attached a titanium plate to my c-4 and c-6, for added stability. For the second surgery they will be adding another plate opposite the first plate and both of these will be permanent. These plates will limit future movement of my neck, but I am praising God that I have full movement of my legs and arms.

I am currently at my parent's hom in Canora, SK and enjoying good home cooked meals. The hospital food is lacking in certain capacities. I will be living at home with my parents until the halo is removed, as I am unable to do certain personal care like washing my hair and taking care of my pin sites. I am getting more active everyday and enjoying the ability to walk around my farm and play with my animals. I praise God that my life was spared and that I have met so many wonderful people, including the nurses and doctors that took care of me. I know that God is working in their lives and gave me the opportunity to meet them and see them in action in thier fields. They are such talented people and God has led them to that field to care with tender and kind hearts for people."

Jennifer goes on to thank everyone for their prayers and support and leaves her phone number and address for anyone wishing to contact her. If you want, e-mail me and I will give it to you, but I don't want to just post it here. Please also continue to pray for her, and also that the surgeons hands will be guided by God's hands while they operate. I can only imagine how difficult it can be for a person who is normally very active and independent to have to be fairly inactive and dependent upon others for even the basic grooming and washing chores. Pray that her spirit will continue to be drawn closer to God and that His good will come out of this experience too.

I just wanted to give a quick update on Pastor Tataryn. She is again at home following her second surgery and is slowly recovering. She was in some pain after the surgery because they had to remove her halo for the surgery and when they put it back on they did it wrong so it took a couple days to get it properly adjusted again. At this point, she is planning to be back at work in January, but I ask that we all continue to pray for her recovery and for her spiritual/mental frame of mind during this time.

I just wanted to provide another update on Pastor Jennifer. She now has her halo off and is in just a neck collar which she can remove for bathing and motion exercises. In six weeks she is to have x-rays to see how well the bones are mending.

Please continue to pray for her healing. God continually heres and is answering as evidenced by her continued fast recovery. Thank you.
