Hurricane Fiona smashes into eastern Canada -- Sept 24, 2022
"Hundreds of thousands of people were affected by the storm that passed over Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, Newfoundland and Labrador." Trees falling, power lines broken, transformers exploding, houses ripped apart, some even washed from their foundations. Blocked and washed-out roads. Hundreds of thousands of people, remain without power as emergency crews and utility workers work to clear debris and rebuild lines.
There was a lot of damage, but thankfully, next to no human casualties.
Hopefully our host, Daryl, and his family are safe and didn't suffer any serious damage.

Sounds like Florida is also being battered by hurricane Ian. Hopefully our members from Florida are safe.

I somehow missed this thread until now.
We lost two trees to this hurricane and were without power for 15 hours, but no other damage.
We made good use of our generator to keep our food cool in our refrigerator, and frozen in our freezer.

Glad you were safe and had a generator to keep your food from spoiling.
