An Act to amend the Criminal Code (hate propaganda, hate crime and access to religious or cultural places).
It seeks to remove a religious exemption from Canada?s hate-speech laws.

The proposed amendments in the Bill would create four new criminal offences:
(1) an intimidation offence that prohibits conduct that is intended to provoke a state of fear in another person to impede them from accessing religious or cultural institutions and other specified places;
(2) an offence that prohibits the intentional obstruction of a person's lawful access to such places;
(3) a hate crime offence to more explicitly denounce hate-motivated crime; and
(4) an offence that prohibits wilfully promoting hatred against any identifiable group by displaying, in any public place, certain hate or terrorist symbols. A definition of "hatred" would also be added to the Criminal Code to clarify the type of conduct captured by the new hate crime offence and existing hate propaganda offences. The Bill proposes other amendments to the Criminal Code, including adding some of the new proposed offences to the existing scheme governing the interception of private communications, forensic DNA analysis and making release orders (bail) with conditions.

Media Reports indicate the Liberals and the Bloc are poised to pass the related amendments as the House of Commons justice committee is currently undertaking its review of Bill C-9
The Conservatives are mainly against it.

The bill in its current form seeks to remove the requirement to obtain the attorney general?s consent to prosecute hate propaganda offences. It would also criminalize the display of certain symbols in public places if they promote hatred against an identifiable group. The bill would also create an offence for those who block access to places of worship.

In addition, Bill C-9 would create a new definition of hatred that doesn?t employ the word ?extreme? used by the Supreme Court, which defines hatred as ?emotion of an intense and extreme nature that is clearly associated with vilification and detestation.?

Conservatives say the bill could lead to a similar situation as in the United Kingdom, where police are routinely arresting individuals for comments made online.

The Bible and other religious "holy books" were also being discussed.
Leviticus, Deuteronomy and Romans, were referred to as having passages with clear hatred

Tory MP Andrew Lawton remarked on social media that the Liberal MP ?who wants clergy members jailed for quoting scripture is now Canada?s minister of identity and culture,? in reference to Miller.
Lawton has been vocal about his opposition to Bill C-9, saying it will lower the threshold of what constitutes hate and of what can be considered free expression in Canada.

There is something sinister going on.
Here, with amendments to bill C-9, the government is trying to silence anyone quoting the bible in discussions on morality saying it's "hate crime" to quote the Bible's warnings against sin, yet I turn on my computer and an AD pops up advertising some realistic game that is based on pure hate and terrible violence, judging from the graphics in the AD ( and no, I have nothing to do with those games, so have no idea why this pops up on my screen) which tells me a lot of people who have nothing to do with these games still have them popping up on their screens in an attempt to lure them into visualizing terrible things.
And by the reports of the millions addicted to these games it is indeed a scary thing. By beholding, especially by virtual reality participation, they become changed.

It is all just so utterly paradoxical and hypocritical showing there really is NO attempt to curb evil, it's all an attempt to curb and silence Biblical morality.
