Artificial intelligence is becoming more and more a part of society. What does it mean to the human race.
I've seen news alerts giving a very extreme warning that it will "wipe out the human race". I don't think God would allow that. But where is this all leading? Replacing real people.
But another alarming thing is that it is developing Aps that enable people to talk with the dead. Now it is using technology that records a person's voice, and takes note of the way people think and then uses "smart" technology, to have the deceased person answer and "chat" with the living person. Seems this is opening wide the door to spiritualistic things .

Seems this is opening wide the door to spiritualistic things . Well, we've started to be more careful with the technology especially after we had some eye opening experiences. We were going over the new products from the MFG's and we had some of the new TV's being shown, and someone asked if it was true they had the ability to listen in on us, and the trainer asked one of the guys in the back to give it commands, and he did it by hand signal. So not only can it listen but can also see what you do. Then we had a surprise comment by "Alexa" in our home while I was having a personal conversation with my wife. "Alexa" interrupted our discussion and asked my wife about me and what we were talking about, needless to say my wife grabbed the plug for "Alexa" and disconnected it and "Alexa" is no longer allowed in our house. With AI, it can only get worse..

On the news feeds:
Experts fear millions will be forced into gig jobs. Artificial intelligence tools have become a major part of our lives. These tools are taking over our day to day mundane tasks, creating a gap for white collar jobs. To discuss the impact of AI taking over jobs, nearly 40 experts from the fields of tech, economics and public policy gathered at the Peterson Institute for International Economics in Washington, as per The Wall Street Journal. This meeting focused on how AI could reshape society by 2030.
Initially productivity and economic output can increase significantly (with AI) and stocks may rise. However, the benefits will not be distributed evenly.....creating significant economic and social disruptions even while boosting productivity and economic growth.
On Psychology Today we find studies showing increase in Artificial Intelligence can be at the cost of intelligence in the average citizens' human brain:
A new study by MIT has published initial results highlighting a likely connection between large language models (LLMs)?colloquially grouped under the banner of AI?and a direct cognitive cost, particularly when it comes to our ability to think critically. They conducted a study using a pool of 54 participants, divided into three groups. The groups were asked to deliver an SAT-grade essay, with the first group granted access to ChatGPT, the second to traditional Google Search, and the third with no search resources at all. Group 3 was referred to as the "brain-only" group. ...most concerning aspect of the findings is the connection between reduced brain activity and impact on long-term learning and memory....There was little evidence of this group's participants (Those who used AI) remembering much of their essay,
The natural law is simple -- use your brain to think, plan, create, learn and reason, and it will grow in its ability to do these things, but if we do not think for ourselves, stimulating the brain to plan, reason and figure things out for ourselves and let others or machines do this for us, our brains will degenerate.
In school learning, we know if students allow or ask others to do their school assignments for them, they are not learning.
We've seen how even simple technology like a calculator diminished the ability of many young people to learn and understand simple mathematics. While the device is a great asset where large amounts of calculations must be done, they still have been devastating to students who used them to do their math assignments that were supposed to teach their brains to handle mathematical thinking. While AI has enabled the gathering of information and putting it together in ways previously impossible and if used basically as a resource and tool in a responsible way, can bring positive results, yet if it replaces the critical thinking and reasoning powers of the human brain, we may well be heading to a sad state of world affairs, where a few people handle the "intellectual " sphere's but most let their brains be simply machine fed.
