Pope Francis I Calls for Religions to Unite

You've got to read this article. The part that stood out was the statement "Another sign of his simpler style, Francis addressed the religious leaders while seated in a beige armchair and not the usual elaborate throne used in the ornate hall for audiences." Could this be the sign that the pope will soon hand his seat over to the devil, masquerading as Christ? God bless. http://tvnz.co.nz/world-news/pope-calls-all-religions-unite-5374919

That is quite amazing how quickly this Pope is acting to unite believers and unbelievers in a common cause. His friendly gestures to the Orthodox churches are unprecedented.
I'm still studying how this fits into the view I proposed a few days ago on Revelation 17, but it tends to confirm it in my mind. I started the thread in the Bible Study forum but it looks like it's been moved? I'm not sure what forum it's in now.

From a different perspective it could be a good thing if churches unite for a common good. The world would be more impressed with Christianity if there was less infighting. It could help us proclaim the 3AM. Of course, it could also end in Sunday Laws.

WHAT? Mountain man? ARE YOU SERIOUS?
"It could be a good thing for the churches to unite for a common good"?
"When the leading churches of the United States, uniting upon such points of doctrine as are held by them in common, shall influence the state to enforce their decrees and to sustain their institutions, then Protestant America will have formed an image of the Roman hierarchy, and the infliction of civil penalties upon dissenters will inevitably result." {GC 445.1}
Today I am losing confidence in the majority of people on this website!
You just totally surprised me Mike. When I read what you just wrote it sent chills down my spine.

I am also surprised you would be posting this, even from a different perspective, therefore, you may want to explain why you would even post such a thought. From a different perspective it could be a good thing if churches unite for a common good. The world would be more impressed with Christianity if there was less infighting. It could help us proclaim the 3AM. Of course, it could also end in Sunday Laws.

Is it not written: The last events will be rapid ones.
Which events?
"Here is a last piece of advice. If you believe in goodness and if you value the approval of God, fix your minds on the things which are holy and right and pure and beautiful and good. Model your conduct on what you have learned from me, on what I have told you and shown you, and you will find the God of peace will be with you."

Which events? Why would you ask this? Blessings, Green Cochoa.
We can receive of heaven's light only as we are willing to be emptied of self. We can discern the character of God, and accept Christ by faith, only as we consent to the bringing into captivity of every thought to the obedience of Christ. And to all who do this, the Holy Spirit is given without measure. In Christ "dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in Him." [Colossians 2:9, 10.] {GW 57.1} -- Ellen White.

As the world leans more favorably toward Christianity it will improve our ability to share the 3AM. I don't understand why this comment seems so blasphemous.
