Thanx for the update. On TV there's a weekly reality show, which unfortunately has a stupid name ( a play on words) - The biggest Loser - that focuses on heavy people losing weight. I thought it was encouraging to watch the contestants working so hard to achieve their personal goals. May God continue to bless as you strive to meet your goals. Happy Sabbath.

Ok, Dave had to see our doctor cuz his ear was bothering him. He's ok, but needs to take meds for it. While we were at the office, I decided to check my weight. As of Friday (Feb. 18th) I am 7 pounds shy of having lost 100 pounds! Yeah, I am losing slower than the surgeon would like, but my opinion is this: I wasn't losing before the surgery. In fact, I kept gaining. I am losing the weight now. I now weigh about 50 pounds more than I weighed before I got pregnant for Davey..... nearly 5 years ago! I think I am doing very well. Between my six week check up and my 3 month check up, I was losing at an average of 4 pounds a week. Now I have dropped to 3 pounds a week. While it isn't very fast, I haven't plateaued (is that a real word?) Anyway, just letting you know my progress.

Amen Stephanie! I've heard it said that the slower you lose the weight, the likelier you are to keep it off! I hope that's good news I'm glad things are going well for you. You must feel like a new woman! (and yes, plateaued is a word!)

Ok, I have tried on a pair of pants since I got them. I started out in a size 30-32. These other pants are size 26-28. About 2 weeks ago, they were still a little tight, but I figured, oh well, I will fit in them eventually. Well, I tried them on last nite & they FIT!!! I mean really fit. They were even a little bit loose, well not when I sat down, cuz then they tightened up a little. But they were loose otherwise. You know what that means? I no longer HAVE to order clothes from a catalog! I CAN go to Wal-Mart and try clothes on and they will FIT!!!!!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!!

Congratulations on this new phase of life, Stephanie! My mom weighed about 180-185 not too long ago, but has lost 30-35 lbs. in the past couple of years. She feels and looks much better, so I'd reckon the changes for the better in your case are that much more noticeable.

Hey all, it's official! I have finally passed the 100 pound mark! I started at 467 and am now down to 360. That's 107 pounds! My doctor is impressed. He says it is a good rate and he is very confident that I will continue and at LEAST make it tyo 200 pounds. That means I have about 160 to go to reach that goal. I did tell him that I would feel good even at 250, but he is still confident that I will lose the additional 160, so I won't argue with him! Anyway, I can see it and feel it. I have some pictures posted on a website, documenting my progress, so if anyone wants to see, feel free to email me and I will give the address to you. Just to let everyone know, I am losing at a rate of approximately 2.3 pounds per week. So, if I can increase it to 3 pounds per week, I know I will do better! And that isn't inconceivable, as we are moving someplace that has sidewalks and benches all over outside, as well as a swimming pool. So, I will be able to get in lots of exercise. HEHE Well, I think I've rambled enough, so I'll post now. Thanks to everyone for your continued prayers. Also, if you all could, please remember us in prayer as we prepare to move. Please pray that all the financial stuff will be taken care of. Right now, it looks like we may be around $200-300 short, but you know that all things are possible with God! AMEN!

Stephanie is still losing the weight, she and her little family moved to Addison Illinois the first of this month. All seems to be going well, Davey has made several friends and Steph is able to get outside every day, so she should be starting to take it off easier now. God bless, Gerry
