Will,
Did you notice what that web page recommends? It's at the bottom--
We recommend: The Celtic Church in Britain, by Leslie Hardinge, 265 pages, $9.00 plus postage from Giving & Sharing, PO Box 100, Neck City, MO 64849.
the tape is so good, I'm going to listen to it tonight.
Two points I remember on Dr. Hardinge's tape is
1) Patrick didn't convert the whole island. he thinks the numbers of Christians probably wasn't too great.
2) The "monasteries" were not convents but "cities of refuge" where celtic Christians found safety especially in their high towers. Check out the pictures on this web page.
