Hi, Nature Lovers!
Tonight I finally had the opportunity to see Mars in the evening sky here over Fredericton, NB. It is in the south sky and almost directly below the moon.
Apparently, Mars is the closest it has been to the earth in sometime. Its orbit around the sun is ~680 days hence it will be back around for earth's viewing again in 2003. After that, I am not sure when it will be this close.
It will be visible until Thursday evening so have a look-see and let us know if you can see it from your point of view.
It is coppery in appearance and tonight there was no mistaking it with other stars as it was by itself and very bright!
Praise God for his handy work!
