Is This A Valid Virus Alert?

I received a virus alert via email a portion of which I am quoting below: quote:
The virus called (jdbgmgr.exe)is NOT detected by Norton or McAfee anti virus systems. The virus sits quietly for 14 days before damaging the system. It is sent automatically by messenger and by the address book, whether or not you sent e-mails to your contacts.
Here's how to check for the virus and how to get rid of it.
YOU MUST DO THIS-I found the teddy bear virus in my C drive.
1. Go to start, Find or Search option
2. In the file/folders option, the name : jdbgmgr.exe
3. Be sure you search your c: drive and all sub-folders and any other drives you may have
4. Click the "Find Now"
5. The Virus has a teddy bear icon with the name jdbgmgr.exe DO NOT OPEN IT!!! ( I found 3 in mine!!!)
6. Go to Edit (on the menu bar), choose "Select all" to highlight the file without opening it
7. Now o to File (on the menu bar) and select delete. It will then go to the Recycle Bin
8. Go to the Recycle Bin and delete it there as well. IF YOU FIND THE VIRUS, YOU MUST CONTACT ALL THE PEOPLE IN YOUR ADDRESS BOOK, SO THAT THEY CAN ERADICATE IT FROM THEIR OWN ADDRESS BOOKS.
The email said that this file has a teddy bear icon.
I did a computer search and located this file with a teddy bear icon just as the email stated, however, I am suspicious that this may be a valid file that needs to be on my computer, and that this may be a trick to delete it which will then mess up my computer.
Can anybody verify whether or not this is a valid virus alert?
Thank you.

This virus warning is a hoax! I did an engine search and came up with the following: quote:
JDBGMGR.EXE is the Microsoft Debugger Registrar for Java. The program uses an icon of a grey teddybear.
It always pays to verify these virus warnings, one way or the other before taking any kind of action.
