Here are the final results of the Canadian election:
CON = 143 (12 short of a majority government) LIB = 76 BQ = 50 NDP = 37 IND = 02 ======== TOT = 308
If the Governor-General agrees to the request of forming a coalition government, what parties can actually form this coalition government?
********
CON = 143 (12 short of a majority government)
LIB = 76 NDP = 37 IND = 02 ======== TOT = 115 (Two parties with the 2 independents can't do it.)
********
CON = 143 (12 short of a majority government)
LIB = 76 BQ = 50 NDP = 37 ======== TOT = 163 (Only Three parties involving the BQ can do it.)

As Prime Minister Harper via the Governor-General ended the session at Parliament, the plans for a coalition government didn't happen, however, their plans are still to defeat the government in a non-confidence vote at first opportunity, not matter how good the government does.
This to me is a definite no, no in that this isn't how the democratic process is supposed to work.
I am, therefore, advocating that the Prime Minister suggest to the Governor-General to say upfront that any defeat of the government will not result in the forming of any three-party coalition government, but will rather result in the dissolving of parliament and the calling of another Federal election. This being known upfront from the Governor-General should end all this nonsense.
I don't normally comment or get involved in the political scene, however, this coalition stuff is going way too far.
