The Last Supper and the Communion Service

Not all churches as in church denominations do the Communion Service the same way, therefore, I would first like to see if we can determine how the Last Supper was done in regards to the Ordinance of Humility followed by the breaking of the bread and the drinking from the cup. Let me begin by sharing the following from both the KJV and the GNB: (Mat 26:26 KJV) And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and broke it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body.
(Mat 26:27 KJV) And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it;
(Mat 26:28 KJV) For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.
(Mat 26:29 KJV) But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father's kingdom.
(Mat 26:30 KJV) And when they had sung a hymn, they went out into the mount of Olives.
(Mat 26:26 GNB) While they were eating, Jesus took a piece of bread, gave a prayer of thanks, broke it, and gave it to his disciples. "Take and eat it," he said; "this is my body."
(Mat 26:27 GNB) Then he took a cup, gave thanks to God, and gave it to them. "Drink it, all of you," he said;
(Mat 26:28 GNB) "this is my blood, which seals God's covenant, my blood poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.
(Mat 26:29 GNB) I tell you, I will never again drink this wine until the day I drink the new wine with you in my Father's Kingdom."
(Mat 26:30 GNB) Then they sang a hymn and went out to the Mount of Olives.
Take notice of the bolded portions. What do you see that's different in the two versions?

The only difference that may have substance in bold concern different ways of translating "giving thanks". What are you aiming at?
Galatians 2 21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.
It is so hazardous to take here a little and there a little. If you put the right little's together you can make the bible teach anything you wish. //Graham Maxwell

One thing I am aiming at is Matthew 26:27 in KJV which says, "Drink ye all of it;" as compared to the one in GNB which says, "Drink it, all of you,"
Both are saying two different things, therefore, are we to drink all of it, or are we all to drink it?

And how do you propose to find out which is the correct understanding?
Galatians 2 21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.

Both are saying two different things, therefore, are we to drink all of it, or are we all to drink it? actually, daryl, old english is a bit strange to us. when we read the kjv of this text, it looks like we can read it the way we would say, today, "drink all of it". but looking at it longer, and knowing a bit of spanish whose wording, or word order, is different than ours, it could also read as the gnb has it. "Drink ye all, of it". so there may be no difference in the two translations but in how we read it. it looks like one cup passed around, which means each person couldnt have drank the whole cup without passing it back each time for the next person.
Psa 64:5 ...an evil matter: they commune of laying snares privily; they say, Who shall see them?
Psa 7:14 Behold, he travaileth with iniquity, and hath conceived mischief, and brought forth falsehood. 15 He made a pit, and digged it, and is fallen into the ditch which he made. 16 His mischief (and his violent dealing) shall return upon his own head.
Psa 7:17 I will praise the LORD according to his righteousness: and will sing praise to the name of the LORD most high.

this may help: Mar 14:23 And he took the cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them: and they all drank of it. kjv
Luk 22:17 And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and said, Take this, and divide it among yourselves: kjv

Could it be that the "cup" back then was like a "pitcher" today?

this is what strongs says: G4221 ποτήριον potērion
Neuter of a derivative of the alternate of G4095; a drinking vessel; by extension the contents thereof, that is, a cupful (draught); figuratively a lot or fate: - cup.
"figuratively a lot or fate" is interesting. in drinking of the cup we are to drink of His lot, or fate?
