Recently the Boulder SDA Church began live-streaming two (2) church services and aSabbathSChool Class. While it has been a learning curve for them, that is now going well. People cana log on to the host website and view the three services live, or at a later time.

For those who might be interested in doing the same for their church, the following is what is needed:

1) A high speed Internet connection to upload the services to the host website.
2) The host website for Boulder charges the congregation $45.00 a month to stream the services live and to store them for later playback by people who want to view them later. This includes both the live stream of the three services and the storage for later playback.
3) A video camera and the equipment needed to take the video signal and send it over the high-speed Internet connection to the host website. One can purchase a professional camera and the other equipment needed for $5,000.00. If one uses a home video camera, it can be done for less.

Solie Swan Media, 303-300-6752 solie@think360media.com has provided professional advice to SDA Congregations on the equipment needed to get their services on the Internet. Of course, any equipment obtained from him is purchased and is not free. But. You may clearly obtain your equipment form other sources. This is not a solicitation to do business with him.

Today, Sabbath, December 15, 2012, the boulder church will have a special Christmas service. Log on to our website to view this service live, of at a later time.

During this service the choir will be composed of the combined choirs of the Boulder congregation and another local church.

The URL above has been made easier to access. In addition to current church services which are live, it has previous services that have been recorded and you can watch. E.G. The special Christmas service is recorded and available.

As I type this message, the 1st service of the Boulder Colorado church is being broadcase live. That will be followed by a live Sabbath School class, which will be followed by the 2nd service live.

It should be noted that several other SDA congregations also use this service to broadcast their services live. Hunt arround on the basic website if you would like to learn more about those services.

Give it a try. As I have said, it is now easier to view the Boulder services than it was when it first began.
