I heard this interesting fact recently, and it made me wonder? Considering the significance of names in the word of God, is there any deeper meaning to be drawn from the name Donald Trump? ?The name Donald is traditionally a name for a boy and it is of Scottish origin. The meaning of Donald is ?someone who rules the world?.? https://kidadl.com/baby-names/meaning-of/donald?English (Devon) : metonymic occupational name for a trumpeter, from Middle English trumpe ?trumpet?.? https://www.familyeducation.com/baby-names/name-meaning/trumpTrumpet of one who rules the world.

In the ancient world names tended to be reflections of character. In our day they tend to be labels. Either way, unless it is a special name from an angel, such as naming John [the Baptist] or Jesus, names do not have any prophetic significance.

Names don't have the same impact as in ancient times. Yet knowing the meaning of one's name can influence what we become. If our names have an uplifting purposeful meaning, we may well be challenged to meet it. If it has a more demeaning meaning, it may push us down and make it tougher to cope with life.
Interesting insight into the names of the pre-flood patriarch's names
Adam - Man (In the beginning created) Seth -Appointed (to bear the line of God fearing men) Enosh- Mortal (man is mortal Cainan- Sorrow (and lives in sorrow in a sinful world) Mahalalel -The Blessed God (the ONE Who can save mankind) Jared -Shall come down (He came down to provide a way of escape) Enoch -Teaching (Enoch began the warning message and teach salvations plan. Methuselah- His death shall bring (marks an end to sin) Lamech -The Despairing Noah -Rest - God cares and gives rest to His followers.
Roughly paraphrased the names give this meaning: Man is appointed mortal with much sorrow. But the blessed God came down with a way of escape for the despairing to give them rest.
