Somewhere down the road, why don't we take some of the moderators and "plant" another forum that has similar rules and philosphies as our "mother" Maritime forum? I think we've got the greatest ideas and personel of all the forums on the web. As with churches, numbers in our membership have leveled off after the first several months (although we are still growing). Perhaps we can grow faster and find more joyful, like-minded people out in cyberspace by using this "planting" technique. The Ontario Conference alone has 22,000 Seventh-day Adventists. Over half of them own computers. There's a lot of "fish" to be caught online out there! ------------------

Sounds good. Remember the Cyber Medical Missionary Online School I proposed a while back ? Now that the Michigan Conference has Battle Creek Life Style Center as an arm of their Conference, perhaps getting in touch with them & putting out feelers could spark an intrest ? ------------------

Internet forums aren't like churches. You can access them from anywhere in the world, so long as you have Internet. I don't think any of the moderators here need to be spread any thinner than they already are, to have to attend to another site in addition to this one, and we really can't afford to lose them here either. ------------------

I wasn't terribly serious with my idea, brothers and sisters. I just hoped you'd catch the barely veiled connection with the "celebration" forum comment. We've already got "fellowship" in our title, though. The principle stands, however. The fastest growth happens the first few months of a dynamic "plant." Many churches have had their most faithful members join 30 years ago--all in a space of a few weeks and then had maybe a 3 or 4 per cent increase the rest of the time. ------------------
