I doubt if anyone really thought, at least for very long, that you agree with those instructions to women. I for one knew right away that you posted it because you thought we would find it amusing. It is, in a way, but it is also sad to think that anyone ever actually believed that wives should behave this way. It seems to me that it may even have been written by an abusive male, or by the codependent wife of one.
