This denomination was founded by a woman whose married name was Mrs. White. She was born in the 19th Cent., and died in the 20th Cent.

The denomination is known today for the vegetarian diet advocated by Mrs. White, mission work, radio ministry, and education. Its schools train from K. through college. Its radio stations constitute the oldest network of Christian radio stations in the world. Twleve years after its first missionary arrived in Malawi, they had baptized 50,000 converts. It runs a number of summer youth camps that train in sports, and are designed to reach the non Christian. It works in many countries of the world. It holds meetings for youth where attendence may reach 4,000,

Alma B. White founded the Piller of Fire denomination, which was formally organized in either 1901 or 1902, depending on what action you take as being the formal foundation of the denomination.

As as interesting note, she supported the KKK as the agent of God to keep society on order. However, the POF, of today, has rejected that stance.

The POF came from a Methodist Eposcopal background, and one of the other groups that I listed was founded by a former member of the Piller of Fire Chruch.

Their Denver area radio station is the best Christian radio station in Colorado. They run a 12 grade school in the Denver area that is well recognized for excellence, and vary accepting of the Adventists who occasionally attend.

I first learned of them less than a year ago, and found them quite interesting due to the name of their founder (Mrs. White) and thier vegetarian background, which is emphasized in their school.
