I thought it would be a good idea to start a topic for people to suggest some good Christian music. Most of what I sample at the ABC could hardly be considered good (or even Christian at times!) I am aware that the term good is rather vague and down to opinion, so there will dough less be some variant here. It would be good if you could provide a link with some sample tracks/songs.

I guess I should start. I really like "The Prayer of Jabez: Music, A Worship Experience "

The Prayer of Jabez

There are a lot of favorite music cd's that we enjoy in our family.

1. The Andrews University Singers directed by Stephen Zork "We Would See Jesus." Hymns of the Second Coming. We have two tapes by them. They sing without any accompaniment and it is very nice.

2. Simple Gifts of the Northwest. A small ensemble group that plays guitar and other stringed instruments as well as flute, panflute, recorder and dulcimer. Also a celtic harp. Their cd's are called "Moonlight" and "Sunlight."

3. Our Daily Bread--Instrumental music to enhance your quiet moments with God. There are many volumes of these cd's, perhaps as many as 10. The one I enjoy most is the Volume 4 "Hymns of the Night." It is quiet and soothing music.

I tend to stay away from singing groups because so many of the songs will have a rock beat and I won't listen to any christian music that has a rock beat in it.

Any Frank Garlock cd's would be good ones also.

I'm sorry, I don't know where you could find examples of these tapes online.

Scripture Songs
These are great. I have volumes 3 and 4 and I LOVE them! They are very peaceful and the verses are from the KJV. It is very easy to sing along too!
