You are right, Colin, my son did not die with AIDS in '91, he died with a very compromised immune system, because he was HIV positive, and this resulted in pneumonia. After carefully going over his autopsy report, with Taber's medical encyclopedia, I saw that he could not have recovered; his immune system was so ravaged.
He worked as a phlebotomist, and exactly how he contracted it, we never knew. But, he died in my arms and I was giving him artificial respiration.
Later, I had to take the HIV tests for two years, but they were never positive. But in spite of my grief at his death, I really worked at that time to build my immune system. Thankfully, I had been eating and living healthfully before that.
We as a country in the USA are daily compromising our immune system with the junk we ingest in our bodies. Instead, we need to learn how to build up our immune system, for there are diseases coming which will devastate us all, unless we have "peak immunity!"
