In the beginning, God said, "Let the earth bring forth vegetation, and herb yielding seed and trees bearing fruit after its kind," and it was so! The Word was with power to accomplish all that it said!

Now, all of us on this forum are creationists, right? We have no problem believing that by the Word of the Lord were the heavens made! We all believe that at the Voice of God the worlds appeared! Before He spoke there were no worlds. After He spoke, there they were! "By the Word of the Lord were the heavens made." For, "He spoke and it was done! He commanded and it stood fast." Ps.33:6,9.

6,000 years have gone by since sin entered this world. It has taken its toll on the human race, to be sure. The image of God has almost been totally obliterated from the face of mankind! However, is not the Voice of Him whose Word can renew the soul unto everlasting life still bidding the light of the love of God to shine in the darkened void of man's hearts!

In the beginning "Darkness was on the face of the deep..and God said, Let there be light! And there was light."

Now, "God has commanded the light of the glory--love--of God in the face of Jesus Christ to shine in (the darkened void of) our hearts." "Love one another fervently, with a pure heart, as I have loved you." 2 Cor.4:6; 1 Peter 1:22; John 15:12.

Let us think about it. Let us think about it like we have never, may be, thought about it before! Has the Word of God lost any of its power to perform that which it commands? Is it not still omnipotent to accomplish what it says?

What is the only thing in the universe that can stop you and me from loving each other fervently, with a pure heart? What is the only thing that can prevent God's omnipotent will from being accomplished here on this earth except "an evil heart of unbelief?" Heb.3:12.

However, though utterly weak, the feeble will of man, by allowing the creative energy of the Word of God to have free course, can become omnipotent to do the will of God!

We may be creationists for the other evolutionists, but our not believing that the command to "Love one another fervently, with a pure heart," is just as full of creative power as the Word that called the worlds into existence, makes us evolutionists for the other creationists?

Is it not up to us, then, in these last days, to allow the creative energy of the Word of God to have free course in us? 2 Thess.2:13. Is this not the Bible truth on this subject that is so necessary to our present and eternal welfare?

Will we let Jesus reveal the creative energy of His Word in us--a gentle, persuasive, but mighty Influence to re-create the soul in the beauty of the Lord our God? We may be transformed according to the will of God, by the the creative energy of His Word: "Be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind." Rom.12:2.

Then we will be born again, not of the will of man, nor of the will of the flesh, but of the will of God, by the Word of God, loving one another fervently, with a pure heart, as Jesus has loved us! John 1:13. And the life thus received will be in like manner sustained, "by every Word that proceeds out of the mouth of God." Matt.4:4.

Do we not hear the Voice of Him whose Word--command--can renew the soul unto everlasting life--love? "Love one another fervently, with a pure heart, as I have loved you." Is not this commandment the breathing of the Spirit of God, the impartation of unutterable love?

Is this not the Voice of God speaking to the soul in promise? Is there not in this command a promise, a most positive promise of its fulfillment? "The Voice of God is powerful. The Voice of God is full of Majesty." Ps.29:4. "Be not unwise but understand what the will of the Lord is." Eph.5:17. The Lord Himself has given the command, "Be filled with the Spirit." Eph.5:17,18. That is His will for us!

May God bless us according to His will as it is expressed in His "living oracles," is my prayer for all of us! "Be it unto us, O Lord, according unto Thy Word." Amen!

Let us not be evolutionists for the other creationists!
