I would just like to know about each or your avitars. What they mean, why you choose it, and that kind of thing. If you don't have one, you can say why not.

do you mean avatar? Well, mine was originally some sort of vegetable with a face. I just had it 'cos it looked like the coolest avatar there was to pick from XP I think that we members should be allowed to have our own custom avatars, granted they're correct size and correct type of pictures. But mines cool, its just a picture of me though the re-sizing has slightly made it a bit odd looking, its still good what about yourself?

Mine is one of my favorite soccer/football players. Not only is he a good player, but he also displays some refeshing christian values in his privet life and while playing too. He also looks shockingly like me. So much That my wife though it was a picture of me in one of my jerseys

Mine's the Cape Hatteras lighthouse, which seemed appropriate to me for a number of reasons. I just like NC lighthouses for one thing, the history behind them, etc. Also we're supposed to be "the light of the world," and are supposed to be giving warning to the world. Hatteras is the tallest lighthouse on the U.S. east coast, and warns mariners against running aground on Diamond Shoals ("the graveyard of the Atlantic"). Also, Hatteras Light was about to fall into the ocean a few years back, so they picked it up and moved it 2900 feet inland, to an orientation similar to the one established by the builders in the early 1800s. (Land movement had moved it toward the ocean over the years. It's located on a barrier island.) That's like what the Lord wants to do for us; carry us back to His original plan.
People said the lighthouse couldn't be moved that far, that it would crack into a million pieces. But it got accomplished, with no harm done. A marvel of modern engineering. Many times people seem to be beyond hope in their situations, but the Lord can overcome all that too.

After 9-11 I ran across a picture of the U.S. and a heart as a flag with the words Pray for the Nation at the top. We always need to be praying for our nation Amen.

I'm not sure who or what my avatar actually is, probably a famous painting I suppose as it was listed with several others.
A favorite person in history has beem Amelia Earhart. She was the first woman to cross the Atlantic Ocean by air and the first woman to fly it alone. In an attempt to fly around the world her plane was lost at sea.
The two girls in my picture have old fashioned flying goggles on--or at least it looks like it. One of the girls could be Amelia Earhart although I don't know for sure.
I married a pilot and fly with him when we go to Alaska each summer in our plane. I could write a book about our experiences...our little children playing on the seats behind us totally unaware of any danger while we followed a highway through fog--praying as we flew. God saw fit to spare our lives many times!
