We are in the midst of our first major snowstorm in the Fredericton area. We are supposed to receive between 20 to 30 cm. of snow by midnight tonight. We shall see when I get up tomorrow. Have you had your first major snowstorm yet? If yes, when did you have it and how much snow did you receive? _________________________ It is more blessed to give than to receive. (Acts 20:35) Daryl

We've had two in a row. Now we'll get freezing rain!------------------ Today is the tomorrow you worried about yesterday. Don't let yesterday's mistakes trouble you, nor tomorrow's fears spoil your day. Pastor Andrew

Our Monday night snowstorm was considered a blizzard. Schools and businesses were closed. We got an average of 15 inches, and the airport got 18 inches. My husband, and lots of other people, had to leave work early Monday and miss work Tuesday. They were predicting freezing rain for tonight and tomorrow morning. ------------------ The Lord is the strength of my life and my portion forever. We received 17 cm. of snow from yesterday's storm. We have about 5 to 10 more cm. of snow coming tomorrow evening and rain to melt it all away on Sunday. _________________________ It is more blessed to give than to receive. (Acts 20:35) Daryl

We had freezing rain last night and this morning. We thought at first we would have to stay home, but they had salted our road and it was wet but not icy. So we decided to visit the church 7 miles away where we used to be members, instead of the one 25 miles away where we are members now. Our conference president was the guest speaker there this morning. I spoke to him afterward and invited him to this forum and our chat room. ------------------ The Lord is the strength of my life and my portion forever.

Instead of snow, we are now going to get freezing rain which will change to lots of rain tomorrow which will probably take away most, if not all, of our snow. I hope, Cathy, that your conference president accepts your invitation. _________________________ It is more blessed to give than to receive. (Acts 20:35) Daryl

As I sit here this early PM, the snow is falling furiously. It rained all day yesterday; fortunately it stopped and dried overnight before the snow started this morning. Since it's supposed to remain cold all this week, it looks like we will have a white Christmas. That should make my daughter happy, but may hamper my son's travel up here this weekend. But knowing him, he'll get here. Any one who can drive 80,000 pounds between Tennessee and Michigan twice a week should be all right. Of course I always ask for angelic protection. That's the best protection of all. Isn't it wonderful how a blanket of snow covers everthing and makes it look so pristine and clean? "So wash me and I shall be whiter than snow."------------------ ________________________ Even so come, Lord Jesus Linda

We are getting another big snowstorm, and we are supposed to have snow all week. I have a feeling that we are going to have a hard winter after all, like they said. They were definitely wrong about our summer being hot and dry - it was just the opposite, wettest we've had in many years. But it doesn't look like they're going to be wrong about the winter! Daryl, our conference president said he doesn't have much time and probably couldn't participate here, but I suggested he join anyway so he can come and read what is posted now and then, and see what's in the private sections too. He said he joined the CompuServe forum when it was first started, but quit once the personal attacks and attacks on the church became common. He had heard of the Remnant Online forum from John Thurber, but I told him this one is better. ------------------ The Lord is the strength of my life and my portion forever.
