Last night the power went out just before 11:00pm for 14 thousand hydro customers in Chatham, Ontario.

The cause? No, it wasn't de-regulation, a meteorite or a thunderstorm. The government was not to blame.

It turns out that a single raccoon chewed on just the "right" wire at a local power station.

Everything was so dark last night--the sky was so beautiful.

All power was restored by 12:25.
