I think it would be very appropriate for your members to have web pages to be strongly urged to LINK to your web page. The more links, the higher you go in the search engines.

Which reminds me, are Google bots indexing your pages?

And also reminded, i haven't provided a link to your site yet either. Would that be OK to do so? Maybe you could provide a link to my site www.earlysda.com on your Resources Forum if you think it is warranted

Good idea about members here who have web sites linking to MSDAOL, however, each member can link to their site in their membership profile which then shows as an icon on every post that they make.

There are times though upon request that we link directly to a member's site via the respective forums of MSDAOL that have been created for that purpose.

Feel free to link to our site from your site and we will do the same from one of those forums of MSDAOL.

I've Googled several old articles in the visitor's section of your site, but nothing came up....

I think some things from MSDAOL are showing up there. I shall do my own word searching on that.

Yeah, Google's crawling the public areas, to some degree. Here's an example:

Agreed Daryl, word of mouth is best.

But there are those who look for some place online to post and read, who find these places by internet search. I'm one of those people, for that matter...that's how I stumbled upon MSDAOL originally.

If you go to Google and search for "SDA forum," Maritime ranks near the top on the list of results returned --

But if you search for "Adventist forum," we're way down the list --

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=Adventist+forum

All the way over on the 6th page, the 54th link, at the time I ran this search ~ and that link's pointing to a topic that's now in the Inactive area! Not too good.

Maybe I need to be using the word Adventist more!

I placed the words Seventh-day Adventist in brackets after SDA.

I wonder what that will do.

Time will tell.
