Earlier meetings gave reports from around the world. Specific projects and things going on - with the common mission to get people ready to meet Jesus on His terms.
Then the Sabbath offerings - offerings focused on meeting & accomplishing those purposes and mission.
Then after Sabbath the 600+ booth's loaded with information and the very visible people connected with many of those ministries there and walking around, themselves networking and themselves collecting information and tools to serve better - just like everyone else.
BTW Doug Batchlor works and carries boxes and does whatever is needed - just like any of the staff. Louis Walton & son, Ed Reid, Jeff Reich, (and more) are as approchable as any friend, many of the big name folks are down home people. They do not demonstrate any swelled up ego's, but are kind, personable, and very approchable.
There could not be enough time to see everyone or begin or continue friendships. It will take weeks at the swiftest to process catalog or bookmark on the computer all the wealth of information collected at the booths during those few hours.
We were only there during Sabbath, I wish we had been there for the whole ASI Convention. It is usually the lesser attended days and hours, that things like Campmeeting, revivals, ASI Conventions ETC - do their best work and offer the choicest things.
I hope to begin posting resourceses & links from the ASI Convention after Sabbath exhibition booths soon - (starting within a week hopefully).
Also HFTH is happening in some of the columbus area SDA Churches too.
Also OCI - materials will benifit your health & health outreach that opens doors for the everlasting gospel. (Gets your message into the hearts of those you are trying to reach.)
