What does your local church do for Sabbath School Investment?
What Sabbath School Investment Project/s are you doing for your local church?
Investment Projects don't seem to be something you hear much about any more.
However, I do have some nice memories of my late father that involved investment projects.
When my parents first became SDA in the late 1950's, my father was soon asked to be investment leader.
We had a project at home. Dad had some tomatoes that he planted and he paid us ten cent a row to hoe them, for investment. I also recall we prayed out in the garden for God to bless the project. The tomato crop was really more my parents investment project, but it was special to me as a child doing something like that, and being able to contribute too. I don't recall how much money we raised.
Dad also put on a Chinese dinner with the help of some of the church ladies and showed film "Pollyanna" at the church school gym as an investment project for the church. My mother made a really yummy punch for the dinner.
My father made it a fun experience so I have had a positive out look on it.
I think some people will do an investment project on there own for a special ministry, but don't hear much about it a the church.
